While we all want to jump into Fortnite, there may be an issue. No, there is not a Fortnite killer, yet, but good luck trying to log in to Fortnite right now. At the time of writing, it seems there are some issues over at Epic that are causing disruptions for players attempting to log in to Fortnite right now.

Fortnite Servers Are Down

The official Fortnite Twitter account issued a brief update regarding issues relating to logging in. There seems to have been an issue that caused players to be kicked out of games or not even log into Fortnite. At the time of writing, it appears that players are receiving messages ranging from "You do not have permission to play Fortnite" or "Your account no longer has play access to Fortnite" whenever they launch the game. Do not worry if you see those messages; you did not do anything wrong. The team at Epic stated that players seeing these error messages are not because they have been banned from the game, but related to server issues.

Breathe a sigh of relief; you are not banned from Fortnite... unless you were actually banned, then you will be disappointed not to be able to play once the servers come back online. At the time of writing, there is still an investigation into what is causing the issue. No solution has been found yet. To ensure that the server issues are resolved, Epic has decided to enter server maintenance, meaning no players will be able to play Fortnite online. While there is no estimated time for the servers to come back online, keep an eye out on the Fortnite Twitter account and other official channels to see when the server maintenance has finished. Fingers crossed that the team at Epic gives players a gift because of the unexpected maintenance.
