More than two years after it started, Fortnite Chapter 2 is about to come to an end. Those who play the game will have noticed an ominous countdown clock hanging over the island. The clock will hit zero on Saturday afternoon, or a little later or earlier depending on where you are in the world. What might happen once time's up on Chapter 2 is anyone's guess. At the end of Chapter 1, the whole island was sucked into a black hole.

Aside from The Cube Queen being involved in some way, Epic hasn't hinted at what players should expect. However, an ad for the finale has shown up on TikTok, and its spoilery content suggests we weren't supposed to have seen it just yet. With that in mind, if you don't want parts of Chapter 2's finale to be spoiled ahead of time, you might want to look away now.

The ad begins with a group of Fortnite regulars looking out over an uncharacteristically peaceful island. The shot seems to be an ode to the one that launched Chapter 2. That serenity is rudely interrupted by the appearance of what could well be another black hole. A few seconds of commotion later and Jonesy is shown looking at the island from afar as it is flipped upside down while a fleet of UFOs hovers overhead.

Most of the UFOs and whatever else can be seen in the sky above the flipping island then disappear. The aftermath of a massive island effectively being dropped into the ocean results in a tidal wave that engulfs Jonesy as the Chapter 3 trailer comes to an end. That has left those who have seen it speculating on the fate of Jonesy as well as what the island will look like once it has been flipped upside down.

Some have been meticulously studying the brief glimpse of the new island shown in the leaked ad. It seems to be covered in a desert which has led many to believe Paradise Palms will return. It could also be the island that was sucked into the black hole at the end of Chapter 1 making a triumphant return. More than two years of wondering where it went and whether it would ever be back, and we could well be about to find out that it was right under our feet all along.
