The Golden Mushroom is Fortnite's rarest consumable item. Here's how players can increase their odds of stumbling upon one.

Chances are most regular Fortnite players have seen more Fortnite items. Even the rarest of weapons and items will have appeared for people every now and again. Well, actually, that is only partly true. There are a couple of items so rare that most players probably don't even realize they exist. What's more, those who do happen upon them might not even know how lucky they are.

One of those items is the Mythic Goldish. The only way to catch a Mythic Goldfish outside of Creative Mode is to fish for one as if it were any other type of aquatic animal found in Fortnite. However, the odds of the golden-scaled animal biting the other end of a player's rod are roughly 0.0001%, so quite literally one in a million.

Turns out the Mythic Goldfish isn't the only Fortnite item with an almost impossibly low spawn rate. There's also the rarely seen Golden Mushroom. Unlike regular mushrooms which only replenish health, consuming a Golden Mushroom will fill a player's health and shield to capacity. Although the chances of finding one are again, one in a million, there are ways in which to increase the odds of stumbling upon the sought after funghi.

To do that, players need to stick to areas in which they would go to find regular mushrooms. Woodland, swampland, those kinds of areas. Again, the odds are still very, very slim. Even spawning mushrooms in Creative Mode will likely lead to a lot of disappointment. If players are just desperate to see one in the flesh, they can do so by visiting OrangeGuy's island. The code is 0972-8666-3236.

Honestly, aside from the novelty of finding something so rare, the benefits of finding a Golden Mushroom aren't that great. By the time a player finds one, chances are their health and shield will already be maxed out. Plus, most players will have potions and medkits at the ready should that suddenly change. However, if we find an item with a 0.0001% spawn rate, you can bet your house we will hit the ceiling regardless of how useful it is.
