Fortnite is celebrating the festive season in a major way this year when it comes to the game's annual Winterfest. Starting on December 18, players can get one free item per day, every day. Plus, don't worry if this is the first you're hearing about this. If players miss a day then they can go back and pick a present for every day that they've missed. Just like Christmas, Winterfest isn't all about the presents, though. Here's everything the event is bringing to Fortnite Island these next few weeks.

Stack Up Those Daily Gifts

First off, how exactly players can get their mitts on all this free stuff and everything else Winterfest is bringing to Fortnite. That's as simple as clicking on the snowflake which should now be visible in the lobby. Hitting that will transport players to the Winter Lodge which is filled with presents. Do it today, and you'll have two presents to unwrap which can be chosen from the pile. Don't panic if a lot of them catch your eye, you'll be able to unwrap 14 of them between now and the beginning of 2020.

That one shaped like the Millennium Falcon? It actually is the Millennium Falcon in the form of a glider. That has been the best gift we have found so far, although the Christmas Tree skin is a close second. Other outfits, pickaxes, gliders, emotes, and wraps are also hidden in the pile, so make sure you choose your gifts very carefully.

It's Not All About The Presents

As we stated above, Winterfest isn't just about presents. Players should also be on the lookout for a stocking when perusing what Fortnite's Winter Lodge has to offer. Click on the stocking and players will get another gift. It's nothing tangible that you can equip, but rather a fresh challenge with each passing day. Perfect for the hardened XP-hunters among you who are looking for something to do after completing the bulk of this season's weekly challenges. As with the presents, missing a day will not mean you miss out on a challenge. They'll be stacked up in your stocking waiting for you when you next sign in.

All of that and Fortnite still wants to give us more this holiday season. As well as daily gifts and challenges throughout Winterfest, Epic will also be unvaulting weapons and bringing back various LTMs from Fortnite's past. Only a few of the returning LTMs have been confirmed, but the one we are most excited to give another whirl is Wick's Bounty. Keep an eye out for that between now and the New Year if you didn't get the chance to play it the first time around.

Winterfest has already begun and runs from now until January 7, 2020. Although the daily gifts will come to an end on New Year's Eve, players can still unwrap them all the way up to the official end of Winterfest. That means players unable to log on until after the festive season won't miss out.

Those who prefer unwrapping all of their presents on mass can do so at some point between New Year's Day and January 7.
