Fortnite's Deep Dab emote is causing quite the stir in-game after players figured out a way to gain a competitive advantage from it.

The topic of loot boxes and pay-to-win mechanisms is a hot one in gaming right now. Developers have to be extremely careful when it comes to what they can and can't include in their games, especially for sold items that give players a competitive edge. That's one of the many reasons why Fortnite is so popular. When players arrive on the island, everyone has nothing but an axe for harvesting.

That hasn't stopped Epic from making an absolute boatload of money from Fortnite, though. Despite the game being free to download and players having no ability to improve their chances by simply throwing money at the game, Epic is still raking in literally billions of dollars. Players want to kit out their avatars with outfits, gliders, and emotes.

The Deep Dab, one of Fortnite's newest emotes, has been causing quite a stir. As you can see above, the Deep Dab is just a regular dab, but when you perform it, the player's forehead almost touches the ground. It seems innocent enough, albeit extremely obnoxious. However, Twitter user TheFlexDaddy recently discovered that the emote can give its user a competitive advantage.

To do so, players first need to build a wall and place a window in the middle. Then, stand to the left of the window and perform the Deep Dab. Your character will slide under the window, then immediately spring back up when the emote is done, which will allow you to shoot an enemy outside the window before they have the chance to react.

TheFlexDaddy first demonstrates how you can exploit the Deep Dab with a friend, then shows himself using it in-game against a stranger. As word of this unfair advantage begins to spread, chances are Epic will hear about it and a patch will be added to fix it, which might have happened by the time you read this. If not, give it a try for yourselves before it's too late.
