However, many players might simply want to just go off the beaten path to do their own thing, often leading to some goofy or epic outcomes depending on the scenario. Here then are some things that many people might find themselves doing while playing Forza Horizon 5.

6 Driving Through Every Single Body Of Water

Forza Horizon 5's version of Mexico is simply stunning. There is such a fantastic range of biomes all within the playable area. From deserts to beaches to mountains to jungles, you can easily find yourself lost in the beauty and serenity of the landscape. Given the staggering number of areas to drive around and explore, it should come as no surprise that there are countless bodies of water from small ponds to the expansive ocean.

Easily one of the most fun things to do is to careen as fast as possible through each and every body of water you happen to stumble across. While it's not quite realistic to watch a Ferrari plow through a raging river or some ocean waves, it sure makes for a fun and wacky experience. Plus, if you swap over to the in-vehicle camera, you can get a first-person take on the watery action.

5 Will This Car Fly?

Do you find yourself summiting the highest peaks or hills while driving across Mexico? If so, you are not alone in that. One of the highlights of Forza Horizon 5 is to find a tall point of interest, typically a mountain or a rocky ridge, and make your way towards it, no matter how challenging the ascent will be.

If you are wondering how you get down from that high vantage point, well, it shouldn't really be a surprise. Don't you want to find out if your car will fly? Once you have made it to that summit, simply find a driving line that will allow you to get oodles of speed then simply drive off the mountain peak or hill to see just how much air you can achieve. Tony Hawk might get jealous at the amount of hangtime you can get in a Ford Raptor.

4 Creating A Thoughtful Backstory

While Forza Horizon 5 does have a story woven throughout its experience, it's often the player-led backstories that make the game even more enjoyable. Many players find themselves going through Forza Horizon 5 as a sort of RPG, mostly down to the fact that you can customize your avatar, your vehicles, and you can even purchase homes. These additional gameplay flourishes give players that extra connection to the game's world.

If you are like many other players, you will find yourself creating a backstory for your character and why you have found yourself in Mexico. Perhaps you are an explorer and you are tasked with following a treasure map that leads you to a mystical waterfall or temple. Small imaginative moments like this really make this game feel extra lively and enticing.

3 Forgoing Races To Find All The Collectibles

Forza Horizon 5 is chock full of incredible races and events that you can easily take part in all across the Mexico region you find yourself driving around in. From off-road rally races to stunt events to pure track races, Forza Horizon 5 gives you something to do around every corner of the world.

However, why not just skip the races to seek out the XP boards or hidden vehicles. Yep, this game even litters the world with collectibles, much like a platforming adventure game. The XP boards might be the most fun to find because you have to intricately navigate your way through certain roads, villages, or jungles in order to smash through them. Plus, the races will always be there for you when you want a break from collecting.

2 Constantly Taking Pictures In Photo Mode

Photo modes in games might just be one of the most addicting additions to video games in the last few years. For those unfamiliar, photo modes are special modes that developers have created to snap and edit the perfect in-game moments or achievements. Forza Horizon 5's photo mode is so intricate and specialized that you might end up learning a bit about photography, symmetry, and landscape aesthetics, all while getting the best shot of your car.

Given the fact that the playable Mexico region is so diverse and lush, it's no surprise that many players find themselves stopping their car to snap a gorgeous photo of their car with the stormy mountain sky in the background. You can even setup your very own beach vacation postcard by driving up to one of the beautiful beaches, parking near the water's edge, and augmenting the colors to make it just right.

1 Obtaining Every Car Even If You Won't Ever Drive Them

Forza Horizon 5, much like every other Forza Horizon game is brimming with vehicles to find, unlock, or purchase. There are quite literally hundreds upon hundreds of cars to play with in this game, from sports cars to rally cars to off-road trucks, and everything in between.

Many players find themselves simply collecting every single car in the game, even if they won't ever drive the majority of them. This might come down to some of them being too slow or cumbersome, but likely it's because they have already found one or two "go-to" cars that they have fallen in love with and can't seem to separate from.
