Early this morning, Game Awards host Geoff Keighley held an AMA on Reddit to discuss some details about this year's coming Game Awards event. Among some other details, the most notable thing Keighley revealed is that gamers can expect to see 10 new games get revealed during the show.

When questioned about announcements and reveals, Keighley said that "around 10 new games/projects being revealed if you want to count the things that no one has heard about yet." If you're hoping that the recently leaked Resident Evil 3 remake will be there, Keighley was quick to note that it is not. It won't be following in the footsteps of its predecessor, which did get a showing during 2018's event.

As for any leaks that have been making the rounds online, Keighley firmly declared those "are completely wrong." According to him, nothing about the show has been accurately leaked yet. "As always the internet has a lot of really bad information out there about what you think is at the show," Keighley wrote. "But it sure is fun to read."

What can we reasonably expect, then? Considering Keighley's involvement in the documentation of it, Half-Life: Alyx is almost guaranteed. We may not get concrete gameplay footage, but we'll probably learn more about the specifics of each VR headset it will run on.

With how mum Sony has been on its titles for 2020, we may also see more footage of Ghost of Tsushima. It's been nearly two years since we last saw it, so it would be pretty exciting to get a more complete look at the game. There's even a chance of seeing the final DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's first battle pass. These are titles we know about, though, and Keighley is stating we're getting 10 reveals of things no one is privy to.

It's really anyone's guess what Keighley and his team have in store. While many balk at The Game Awards for being a self-congratulatory event dedicated to the games industry, it does occasionally have exciting moments. With Keighley doing his best to bring joy to gamers, we're likely in store for a solid outing this year.
