After the first month, the price has thus far increased to $4.99 a month. The honeymoon has ended and the limited time pricing is over, according to a tweet by Xbox Game Pass for PC.
In a follow-up tweet, Xbox confirmed that those currently on a subscription will pay the same rate through the next billing cycle. Therefore, if you’re hoping to try some of the latest titles for a dollar, a 30-day trial is critical to sign up for before September 17 at the Xbox Store. As long as you’re signed up before September 17, your next bill will be for the beta rate of $4.99 per month. By mid-November, all will transition to the full price of $9.99 a month.
Microsoft has carefully timed this billing change to coincide with the launch of the next-gen Xbox consoles, which is sure to lure users into consideration of Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox All Access, a finance option. Game Pass Ultimate ($14.99 per month) now comes included for two years with those choosing to buy the Xbox One X ($34.99 per month) or Xbox One S ($24.99 per month) using Xbox All Access.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is further sweetened as it now includes Xbox Games for Gold, Xbox Game Pass, Game Pass for PC, and coming soon, EA Play, according to Microsoft. The bundle for those who game on PC and console is quite appealing.
