An incredibly meticulous gamer has created the entirety of Dunder Mifflin from The Office in Far Cry 5, and the attention to detail is impressive.
Gamers sometimes struggle to comprehend how far gaming has come in the space of 20 to 30 years. It seems like only a short time ago we had nothing but sidescrollers and other 2D games to keep us entertained. Nowadays, we have overwhelming worlds to explore that we are unlikely to scour the entirety of.
For some gamers, that is still not enough. That's why some developers have handed over the creative reigns to the fans of their games. For instance, earlier this year, Epic added a Creative Mode to Fortnite, which is an addition that allows users to build and even play on their very own islands. One of the best fan-made islands so far has been recreation of Pokémon Red, which is highly recommended.
While the Pokémon creation takes the Fortnite crown, YouTuber and gamer Mojo Swoptops may have just won the award for best overall in-game creation. The designers at Mojo have taken it upon themselves to recreate Dunder Mifflin from The Office in Far Cry 5. A tour of the virtual office is available via the video below.
As you can see, the attention to detail is incredible. The bullpen, Michael's office, the annex, and the break room are all featured. However, our favorite thing by far is the sheer number of easter eggs linking to various episodes. The spilled chili, Dwight's exercise ball, empty bottles under Meredith's desk, and the mannequin in the conference room are just a few among the bevy of references.
At the time of this writing, Mojo's Dunder Mifflin map is not available to play and can only be viewed by others via the video above. However, they do intend to make it playable as soon as possible. The map just needs to have a Player Start added to it and then it can be uploaded. As such, Office fans should be vigilant for it. If you have Far Cry 5, you will soon be able to revisit the setting of one of the funniest TV shows ever made.
