Do you think your screen is too flat? Do you think your curved monitor is not curved enough? Maybe you want a screen that can be manually curved to suit your personal taste in curvature? Then the Corsair Xeneon Flex could be the screen for you, for you curvy screen enthusiasts.
Created in partnership with LG and using W-OLED technology in the Corsair Xeneon Flex screen, the product represents a new niche in the curved screen market that could well become the next trend. While we've seen foldable screens in the likes of smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold, a monitor on the scale of a desktop screen and being able to bend is something not really seen yet.
The Xeneon Flex is a bendable ultrawide gaming display, with the signature feature that you can bend the monitor from completely flat to up to 800R at any time. As for size, it's an ultrawide 45" 1440p OLED screen using an LG panel, so it's pretty decent specs besides the bendiness. It's a 21:9 aspect ratio and can generate a peak brightness of 1,000 nits according to Corsair, and has 0.03ms GtG response time, a 240Hz refresh rate, and can make use of Nvidioa G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. An additional perk is the anti-reflective coating to reduce glare.
So why would you want to adjust the curve? Well, use cases could be that you want to kick back and relax by watching a movie, perhaps with another person, so you'd want a flatter screen, while other times you may want something more curved for an immersive gaming session. However, according to some YouTuber gadget reviewers, the Xeneon Flex is quite stiff to bend although perhaps this is to be expected (thanks PCGamesN). Those concerned they may break the screen can rest easy because apparently the Xeneon Flex makes an audible clicking sound when it has been bent to its utter most point so keep an ear out for that if you get your hands on one.
