Genshin Impact has proven to be quite the hit with how generous it is to the players even as a free-to-play title. It's now one of the finest open-world games available on virtually all major gaming platforms. While it does balance out the "grindiness" with its rewards, some players, especially the new ones, can still get intimidated by how plenty of the game's aspects are gated behind the Adventure Rank.
This is essentially the main "level" metric that's ever-present in all RPGs. The longest grindfest session for the Adventure Rank would be from 10 to 16 where afterward, the players can unlock the co-op function. So in order to prevent getting dissuaded by the game's gatekeeping, some methods to get faster Adventure experience is in order. These surefire ways of ranking up in Genshin Impact should boost players to the endgame in no time.
10 OFFERING HUNTING
It might not seem much and it's actually the least productive of all experience farming methods, but hunting some Oculi Offerings for the Statues of the Seven all add up. It just so happens that there are tons of Anemoculus around Mondstadt.
Hunting all those down and even the Geoculus in Liyue can go a long way. Even just grabbing them if spotted is already a good indirect boost to the Adventure Rank. Afterward, offering all of them in bulk to several Statues of the Seven should net incrementally increasing Adventure Rank experience as well as benefits to the Stamina.
9 DAILY COMMISSIONS
Now, for the most accessible method of farming Adventure Rank experience. That would be none other than Genshin Impact's own version of daily quests, called Commissions. These are the four purple-icon quests that are quick to finish and usually involve just killing some Hilichurls or repetitive errands.
These quests net hundreds or even more than a thousand Adventure Rank experience and replenish every day. They only take a few minutes to do as well and should pose no problems or threats to any player.
8 WAYPOINT SEARCHING
Exploration, as stated by the game, also plays a big role in the players' Adventure Rank. Simply unlocking all the waypoint towers in the world will grant a sizeable chunk of experience that come in bite-sized 50-point pieces.
It also makes the players' lives more convenient as they can easily travel to different resource nodes in the map pretty quickly which is important if they want to harvest some of the rarer resources in the game. Eventually, players will run out of waypoints to discover so this method is finite at best but think of it as an investment.
7 DOMAINS
Abyssal Domains are unlocked pretty early on and they offer a nice change of pace from the repetitive and unchallenging exploration or Commission quests. Domains are practically advanced dungeons with some handicaps for players.
Some of them inflict increased skill cooldown and vary depending on the domain. Most of them also usually reward 100 Adventure experience per run. Other rewards involved are tons of useful artifacts for the characters and even Mora or gold.
6 TEMPLES
Temples are like Abyssal Domains but without the handicaps or added challenges. Some of them might also be easier to complete compared to Abyssal Domains and are usually over in just a few minutes.
They also offer around 100 to 200 Adventure experience per run. Depending on the kind of player, this could be preferable to exploration. Combined with some the Daily Commissions and other activities, the Temples ensure a healthy serving of Adventure experience.
5 TREASURE CHEST HUNTING
Treasure hunting is also a viable activity for increasing the Adventure Rank as there are tons of chests available and hidden all over Genshin Impact's huge map. They're definitely more viable than waypoint activation since there are more of them.
Each chest gives anywhere from 20 to 60 Adventure experience depending on the rarity and quality of the opened chest. The shinier the chest, the more difficult it is to open and some are even guarded by groups of enemies or require clearing certain puzzles.
4 ARCHON AND MAIN QUESTS
The most available obvious choice for increasing the Adventure Rank is the one being waved at the players' faces. The Main Quest is likely the most generous when it comes to rewarding players with Adventure experience.
They also scale well enough and give a significant chunk in the Adventure Rank bar. The downside is that they're quite long so they might not be best for players who only have a few minutes to farm some experience. Still, certain threshold quests, such as the Rank 18 one, can advance players by as much as two levels and are worth noting.
3 SIDE/WORLD QUESTS
If the Main Quest is not that interesting for the players, then they can simply go about their way exploring the large open-world of Genshin Impact and even come across some lavish side quests. These are usually called World Quests in the game and some even have dedicated cinematics and fully voiced dialogue.
Much like the Main Quest, they're also quite long but they do reward Adventure experience by the hundreds as well as a hefty sum of Mora and some artifacts. They're perfect supplements for waypoint activation or treasure hunting.
2 DOING EXPERIENCE INVESTIGATIONS
The Adventurer Handbook is the players' best friend in Genshin Impact because unlike Paimon, it serves a more useful purpose than just being emergency food. Simply open the Adventurer Handbook, and go to the Experience tab.
This displays Investigations which are pretty much just lite achievements which are easily doable, like offering Oculi to Statues of the Seven or enhancing some artifacts. All of them can be completed for a decent amount of Adventure experience. Some of these investigations don't even require players to go into combat or to explore.
1 BOSS HUNTING
Last but not least, and perhaps one of the most interactive ways to grind Adventure experience, killing bosses. These bosses can be found in the Bosses tab of the Adventurer Handbook where players can easily navigate to their locations. The preferable bosses to slay are the Leyline Outcrops.
These give about 100 Adventure experience and throw 2-3 waves of enemies at the players. After completing the Leyline Outcrops, the players can keep farming them indefinitely until they run out of Original Resin to redeem the rewards or Primogem to buy the Resins for reward redemption. Since Original Resins passively regenerate back to full capacity every 16 hours, that makes the Leyline Outcrops one of the most rewarding ways to farm Adventure experience.
