The world of Genshin Impact is ever-growing, as the developers slowly add new regions, characters, weapons, and artifacts. The desire to get a new character from the Gacha System is one of the main tactics used by the developers for player retention. Once you get a character, there's a lot you have to focus on to make them viable.

Cyno is a five-star Polearm-wielding character who was released alongside Sumeru Desert in Version 3.1 update. You can have up to three characters in a party along with him, giving you a lot of different choices depending on your preferred play style.

Giga Buffed Cyno

  • Bennett
  • Kaedehara Kazuha
  • Zhongli

The flexibility while creating a character's build provided by Genshin developers allows you to make any character the main DPS. Since Cyno's kit already lets him deal significantly high damage, this team composition allows him to show his true power.

There isn't enough reaction-based damage in this team because Bennett doesn't apply a lot of Pyro, and Zhongli's Geo element doesn't have any reaction except Crystallize. The only reaction you'll see with this team is Kazuha's Swirl, which is one of the most important aspects of the team.

Since Kazuha will Swirl the first element that it comes in contact with (except Geo and Dendro), the rotation for this team becomes very important.

Assuming that you have everyone's Elemental Burst ready, here's what the rotation is going to look like:

  • Start with Zhongli's shield and Burst to hold enemies in their place for a little while. Follow this up with Cyno's Elemental Skill to apply Electro to the enemies.
  • Next, wait for the particles from Cyno's skill to come back before switching to Kazuha. This is because he has a high Burst cost, and it can be hard to get it back in time without an Electro battery.
  • Use Kazuha's Elemental Skill and Burst to make sure you Swirl Electro at least once. This will give more Elemental DMG bonus to Cyno because of Kazuha's Poetics of Fuubutsu passive.
  • Finally, switch over to Bennett and use your Elemental Skill and Burst. When you switch to Cyno after that, to use his Burst, he will have an ATK buff from Bennett, and the enemy's Electro resistance will be decreased because of Zhongli's shield.

All the buffs mentioned above will stack, allowing Cyno's damage to increase exponentially. You can test his damage without any of the aforementioned buffs, and you will notice the difference.

Aggravated Assault

  • Dendro Traveler

  • Zhongli

Along with the release of Sumeru in Version 3.0, Dendro-based reactions were also released in the game. Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread are the reactions that involve Electro and Dendro. In terms of damage, these are one of the strongest reactions in the game alongside Vaporize and Melt.

This is because Aggravate increases the damage from your Electro attacks, while Spread increases the damage from your Dendro attacks. This increase in damage is significant considering how often you can trigger these reactions with this team.

It is important to note that every reaction in the game has an ICD (Internal Cooldown), which is usually around 2.5 seconds. Thankfully, his Elemental Skill can be used to bypass this cooldown sometimes because it resets quickly.

The rotation for the team is simple, you can use Traveler's and Collei's abilities while protected by Zhongli's shield before you switch over to Cyno and execute his Burst. Typically, you can also use a Sacrificial weapon on either of the Dendro characters to regenerate their Energy faster.

The reason to put Zhongli here is that Bennett can cause Burning or Overload, messing with the Dendro-Electro reactions. Further, you can also replace Collei with Kazuha to get extra Swirl damage if your Dendro application is enough with the Traveler.

Fatal Electric Conduction

Cyno Raiden Xingqiu Yelan

  • Raiden Shogun
  • Xingqiu
  • Yelan

Taser teams are a go-to when you're dealing with hoards of small enemies that are easier to crowd-control. The same idea goes behind this team, which is also self-sufficient when it comes to Energy regeneration, allowing everyone to have good uptime on their Skills and Bursts.

Xingqiu and Yelan are two of the best off-field Hydro applicators in the game. Their Elemental Bursts are similar, as they attack the enemies with Hydro DMG at certain intervals whenever you use a normal attack.

Electro-charged is the reaction that triggers whenever Electro meets Hydro. You might have noticed its effect when you attack a Hydro slime with Electro damage. It electrocutes the enemies thrice every time this reaction triggers, making them unable to move for this duration.

The rotation for this team is also fairly simple, and here's how it goes:

  • Start with Yelan's Elemental Skill and Burst followed by Xingqiu's abilities. It is important to execute Yelan's abilities before Xingqiu's if you're using Sacrificial Sword on him. This is because it's easier to get his Burst back due to double Elemental Skills.
  • Follow this up with Raiden's Elemental Skill and then Cyno's Elemental Burst. You can use his Skill multiple times during his Burst, and get more benefits if you time it correctly. Once you're done with his Burst, switch over to Raiden and use her Burst.

Raiden's role in this team is to be an Electro 'battery'. She can generate the much-needed particles for Cyno from her constant off-field damage. Further, her Burst will also help in getting Energy for everyone else because of her Musou Isshin state.

The only problem with this team is the lack of a healer/shielder to protect the active character. Xingqiu's healing from his passive and damage reduction from Elemental Skill can make up for the missing support to some extent, especially because you're going to be using this team against smaller enemies with less damage.

Mono Electro Team

Genshin Impact Cyno Yae Miko Fischl Beidou
  • Cyno
  • Yae Miko
  • Fischl
  • Beidou

At first glance, this team already doesn't seem very efficient for Cyno because you're going to have a lot of Elemental Mastery on this character to maximize his damage output. Nonetheless, mono teams are at the core of Genshin whenever you build a new character.

One good thing about having four Electro characters is that you'll never run out of particles to regenerate everyone's Elemental Bursts. This is because all of their skills will drop Electro particles, giving each character a high amount of Energy.

Even though the rotation for this might seem simple, you can perform it a certain way to make the most out of your time.

  • Start by placing Yae Miko's kitsune near the enemies, and follow this up with Beidou's Elemental Skill and Burst. If you have her sixth constellation, the Electro resistance for the surrounding enemies will be decreased.
  • Use Fischl's Elemental Burst before switching over to Yae and using her Burst. At this point, you will have to place her Kitsune again because they'll be consumed.
  • Finally, switch over to Cyno and execute his skill combination. During his Burst, you'll have plenty of time to regenerate particles for the entire party because of all the off-field damage from other members.

If four Electro seems a little monotonous, you can switch Fischl for Kazuha to gain an increased resistance shred and DMG by Swirling Electro.

Total Destruction

Genshin Impact Cyno Xiangling Bennett Venti

  • Xiangling

  • Venti

Looking at the likes of Klee, Hutao, or Bennett, you can already tell that Pyro means destruction in Genshin Impact. It gets even more destructive when this element meets Electro, causing an Overload reaction. Apart from dealing extra damage, this reaction also kicks the enemies off the ground.

While Bennett is not a good Pyro applicator, the reason for him to be on this team is the ATK buff provided by his Burst. Further, Pyro Resonance is triggered with Xiangling and Bennett in the same team, giving an additional 25 percent ATK buff.

While using this team, you can simply start with Bennett, followed up by Xiangling before you execute Cyno's Elemental Burst and Skill. Venti is required to cause a Swirl reaction and hold the enemies together with his Burst since you will need to group them up after Overload triggers.

Kazuha can also be a good character to group the enemies, and he also has an extra ATK bonus. The only reason to use Venti over him for this team is that you'll need to constantly bring enemies back together, which is harder to do with Kazuha.

Cyno will suffer from Energy problems with this team because of his high Burst cost and lack of a battery. To mitigate this, you can try using weapons like the Kitain Cross Spear, which is an Inazuman craftable weapon.
