Genshin Impact's Fischl, the self-proclaimed Prinzessin der Verurteilung, is surprisingly effective despite being a 4-star character. Past her obsession with fantasy and her tendency to over-formalize her speech, she synergizes well with teammates and is a great catalyst for elemental reactions. She is a good DPS but an even better sub DPS, allowing her to deal consistent damage without even being on the field by using her raven, Oz. Her unique talents give her the potential to be an irreplaceable member of any team lineup.

A very flexible Electro character, Fischl has a range of weapons that can work well in her capable hands. In the early stages of the game, she's able to make the most out of the 3-star weapons available to players; in the late stages, she can utilize high-rarity bows to shape herself into a powerful opponent. Overall, Fischl is a skilled archer who can provide immense support to her teammates, and the weapon she's equipped with ensures the proper utilization of her versatile abilities.

9 Raven Bow

This weapon is a good choice for players who are limited to 3-star bows. The Raven Bow increases her elemental mastery and boosts damage to opponents affected by Hydro or Pyro, which can be particularly helpful when Fischl's elemental skill brings Oz onto the field.

Since players get two Pyro characters, Amber and Xiangling, along with one Hydro character, Barbara, for free through the game's story, even low AR players can benefit from the effects of this bow. While this weapon isn't the most ideal choice for Fischl, it is highly accessible and a solid pick for new players.

8 Slingshot

Alternatively, the Slingshot is another decent 3-star bow that low AR players can equip Fischl with. This weapon is especially useful due to its bonus stat: crit rate. Since both Fischl and Oz can deal critical hits, this bow works well and greatly increases damage output regardless of if Fischl is treated as a main DPS or sub DPS.

Another positive aspect of the Slingshot is its special effect, which becomes incredibly useful as it is built upon through weapon refinement. This effect dictates that, if a charged or normal attack lands within .3 seconds of the bow being used, the damage is increased. At refinement rank one, the increase is a measly 36 percent, but it increases to 60 percent by rank six. The catch? If the charged or normal attack hits a target after the .3 seconds, the damage is decreased by ten percent.

7 Compound Bow

Moving onto some 4-star options, the Compound Bow is an alright weapon for players who don't have many bows to choose from. Because it is available through forging, luck doesn't play much of a role in obtaining it. This makes the bow an accessible choice that is available even to players still in the early stages of the game, while also outputting more damage than the 3-star weapons that precede it.

Unfortunately, this weapon doesn't play to Fischl's strengths. Since she is heavily reliant on Electro damage — which is dealt through her charged attacks, elemental skill, and elemental burst — the physical damage bonus that this bow has doesn't offer much utility for Fischl, especially if she isn't the main DPS of the team. The special effect this bow grants also only benefits her as a main DPS, as it boosts normal attack damage.

6 Mitternachts Waltz

Like the Compound Bow, Mitternachts Waltz is a 4-star bow that offers a stat boost to physical damage. Since this physical damage bonus only affects her normal attack, this weapon isn't great for a sub DPS build and would be better suited for a main DPS Fischl.

On a more positive note, this bow's special effect allows normal attacks to boost elemental skill damage, and elemental skill hits boost normal attack damage in return. This effect makes the Fischl and Oz combo much more powerful than it would be otherwise.

5 Favonius Warbow

Since this 4-star bow is given to players for free through the Stormterror boss fight and is also available through wishing, it's a great option for players who want a bow that they can refine relatively easily. This weapon gives a bonus to energy recharge, which quickens the rate at which elemental bursts become available. The effect that this weapon wields, Windfall, provides a 60 percent to 100 percent chance of generating six energy, depending on refinement. The level of refinement also changes how often this effect can be triggered, from 12 seconds at the first ascension level to six seconds at the fifth ascension level.

This bow is highly versatile since Oz is able to land critical hits and the weapon effect generates energy for whoever is on the field, even if it isn't Fischl herself.

4 Alley Hunter

This 4-star bow is an amazing fit for Fischl, as it increases damage dealt by characters who are not on the field. Since a sub DPS Fischl spends most of her time off the field, with Oz doing damage in her place, Alley Hunter can easily build damage buffs. At fifth level refinement, this bow increases damage by four percent for every second the bow-wielder is off the field for a maximum of 40 percent, and the buff doesn't decrease until the character is back on the field for four seconds or more.

The aforementioned bonus combines with the weapon's secondary stat, attack, to make Fischl a high damage sub DPS.

3 The Stringless

The stringless bow on wish background

The Stringless has been available since Genshin Impact was first released, and the community quickly latched onto the weapon as the ideal 4-star for Fischl. Though Alley Hunter has better stats for Fischl upfront, it requires a very rigid playstyle without any flexibility. The Stringless, on the other hand, allows room for improvisation, with its secondary stat-boosting elemental mastery and its refinement effect increasing damage from elemental skills and bursts.

Additionally, it is obtainable through every type of banner, unlike weapons like the Alley Hunter, which are only featured on limited-time weapon banners.

2 Skyward Harp

Skyward Harp is a powerful 5-star weapon in the hands of Fischl, but only if she's locked in as a main DPS. It increases crit rate through its secondary stat, and the effect gained from this weapon builds crit damage.

Additionally, this bow has a large chance of triggering an AoE attack that deals 125 percent physical damage, which can occur every 3.5 seconds. However, there is a caveat: Oz can only benefit from the effects of this weapon if Fischl is on the field, making it a poor choice for her if you use her as a sub DPS with limited time on the battlefield.

1 Elegy for the End

Genshin Impact Elegy of the End bow on wish background

Elegy for the End is the ultimate bow for a team that is held together by Fischl. A 5-star weapon with massive bonuses, this bow not only amplifies her damage, but also the team's damage as a whole. Its special effect is somewhat complicated, but the main mechanics are as followed:

  • Elemental mastery is increased for the wielder by 60 to 120, depending on the bow's refinement level.
  • When an elemental skill or burst hits an enemy, the wielder gains a Sigil of Remembrance. One sigil can be obtained every 0.2 seconds.
  • Once four Sigils of Remberance have been obtained, all party members' Elemental Mastery increases by 100 to 200, and their ATK increases by 20 percent to 40 percent, with both stat bonuses depending on refinement level. This effect lasts 12 seconds.
  • After that happens, the wielder cannot begin regaining Sigils of Remembrance until 20 seconds have passed.

Basically, this means the bow boosts all elemental effects triggered by the team while also offering the opportunity for massive increases for teammate attack stats. This bow is a powerful choice that benefits not just Fischl, but the entire team. Since both Fischl's elemental skill and her elemental burst deal constant blows to the enemy, she can build sigils at a fast pace and help teammates consistently deal massive amounts of damage.
