Genshin Impact is a game that heavily relies on gatcha mechanics for players who want to get new weapons and characters. While it may seem like you have to spend money to get anything good, the game actually has quite a few systems in place to ensure free-to-play players can enjoy the game just as much as those buying primogems can.

The game gives out tons of free primogems and wishes but did you also know that it's rather easy to get a hold of four-star weapons? Through events like the Windblume festival and the forge, you can get decent four-star equipment without having to open your wallet. Here are all the details.

Dragon Spine Recipes

Dragonspine Spear

The Dragon Spine weapons can be obtained through various quests in the Dragonspine mountain region. These weapons can be obtained even at lower adventure ranks, and all have the same special ability.

When a Dragonspine weapon is used, there is a 60% chance that using either a charged or normal attack will summon an icicle to drop down onto nearby enemies. This will deal 80% of your characters' attack in AoE cryo damage. If the enemy you are fighting is weak to cryo damage, however, then the icicle will deal 2o0% AoE cryo damage. The icicle can fall every ten seconds.

Free Event Weapons

Windblume Event Shop

Event weapons are a bit of an anomaly since the game hasn't been out long enough to know if the weapons in this category will become available once again or not. So far, there have been two event four-star weapons released.

Festering Desire was part of the Dragonspine release event, and Windblume Ode was part of the Mondstadt Windblume festival, which seems to have the highest chance of recurring.

The items needed to refine these weapons are also connected to these events, which can make them a bit difficult to fully power up for players who came in later or didn't get the chance to get the refinement material.

Festering Desire - Sword

  • Base Attack: 42
  • Secondary Stat: 10% Energy Recharge Bonus

Damage of elemental skill attacks is increased by 16%, while critical damage from elemental skills is increased by 6%.

Windblume Ode - Bow

  • Base Attack: 42
  • Secondary Stat: Elemental Mastery Increased by 36

Once you use an elemental skill, the bow will give you a 16% increase to your attack for six seconds.
