As Genshin Impact's world continues to grow, the developers have been adding more and more locations and playable characters, such as the inhabitants of the island region of Inazuma. However, while that's happening, Mihoyo has also been bringing back old characters for limited run banners.

Hu Tao, for example, was released last year but has made a comeback during a slew of Inazuma banners. In case you missed her the first time, she's a fantastic Pyro polearm DPS with great risks involved - but also massive damage output. She's easily one of the most coveted characters in the game, with a unique and charming design to cap it off. Whatever team you put her in, she's sure to knock the enemies' socks off, but here are some suggestions for fantastic Hu Tao team members.

10 Xingqiu

Not only is he one of the best characters in the game, but he's also a four-star character. Xingqiu's power comes not from his damage output. In fact, his best role in a party would be Sub-DPS or Support. However, where Xingqiu shines is his versatility.

Xingqiu's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst both provide a slew of benefits to your team, even when you switch Xingqiu out with someone else. He can provide healing as well as ease with creating reactions - especially with Hu Tao - letting you cause Vaporize reactions thanks to his Hydro and her Pyro. His Burst also increases damage, making your Hu Tao even more of a powerhouse.

9 Bennett

Genshin Impact: the character Bennett looks at the screen with the moon behind him in Mondstadt.

Both a solid Sub-DPS and Support depending on how you build him, Bennett is a great Pyro option for your Hu Tao team. He has fast attacks and his Skill charges quickly. His Burst provides an attack boost and healing, which is great for a character like Hu Tao, who frequently has her HP dip to dangerously low levels as she attacks.

Bennett is also a Pyro character, which, when paired with another Pyro character such as Hu Tao, creates an Elemental Resonance effect from having two Pyro characters in the same party. This increases the attack of your entire team by 25 percent, meaning your Hu Tao becomes even more powerful.

8 Noelle

Noelle in the sunset

One of Genshin Impact's guaranteed "free" characters, Noelle is sometimes underrated as everybody has her. However, that doesn't reduce her value at all. In fact, Noelle is a great character who's built like a tank, can take a ton of damage, and provides support and healing capabilities for the rest of your team.

Noelle provides an auto-shield for your characters even when she's not the active party member. When a character's HP drops below a certain threshold, a shield appears automatically, saving you from potential KOs. Her Elemental Skill also creates a shield, and when Noelle attacks while it's active, it can heal your entire party.

7 Xiangling

Genshin Impact Xiangling Skill And Talent Use Guoba

If Bennett is not an option for you, for whatever reason, or perhaps you like her more, Xiangling is another great option for a Hu Tao team. Aside from providing the Pyro Elemental Resonance, Xiangling is also a great DPS for other reasons.

Xiangling's Elemental Skill summons her panda, Guoba, who deals Pyro damage while also attracting enemies to him. This can give you a moment to breathe or stack the damage on your opponents, depending on how you want to use it. She's essentially a Pyro overdose for your team.

6 Sucrose

Sucrose Burst

Hu Tao shines against large bosses, as her attack moves are best suited for dealing large amounts of damage against one target. She can be trickier to use against mobs, but by putting Sucrose on your team, you can make it a bit easier.

Sucrose's Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst both create Anemo vortexes, pulling enemies in close and amplifying the element they're affected with through Swirl. This can make it a lot easier for you to concentrate Hu Tao's attacks in one area while also massively increasing the amount of damage being done.

5 Kaeya

Kaeya in main story

Kaeya is another one of Genshin Impact's free characters, and he doesn't hold back when in a team. He's a fantastic DPS, and when working with Hu Tao, you can use him to create Melt reactions by combining his Cryo with her Pyro.

Kaeya is also self-sufficient. One of his talents includes an ability that lets him heal when his Elemental Skill is active, meaning you don't have to worry about healing him and Hu Tao both. If you can summon multiple of him and get his constellations, he will also provide you with a temporary shield.

4 Chongyun

Another potential Cryo character for your team, Chongyun is a heavy-hitting claymore user with unique skills that he brings to the table. Since he's a four-star character, you can build him with constellations that decrease his skill cooldown times.

Chongyun is an ideal party member for your Hu Tao team because he's able to dish out Cryo damage quickly and easily. His Elemental Skill creates an AoE field which lets him deal Cryo damage with his attacks.

3 Fischl

If you're looking to create explosive Overloaded reactions with Hu Tao, Fischl is a great choice. Overloaded knocks enemies back which can be useful in some cases, and Fischl's Elemental Skill stays on the field even when you switch her out.

If you plan on using Fischl, you should consider bringing along Sucrose or even Venti if you have him. Since Overloaded pushes enemies back, you will need someone whose skills allow for crowd control.

2 Diona

Healing Character

Diona is a four-star character who wears multiple hats. She's a cryo character, meaning she can help set up Melt reactions, but there's a lot more she has to offer to your team.

Diona's Elemental Skill offers you a shield, and her Burst provides healing. Her talents also allow characters using her shield to run faster, making it easier for your DPS character (Hu Tao) to stay on their toes as they attack.

1 Xinyan

Xinyan with sheild

Another excellent Pyro character for your team is Xinyan, the Liyue rocker with a great personality. She's a Pyro claymore user, meaning she hits hard and heavy. When you're switching from Hu Tao to another DPS, she's a great option.

Xinyan's Elemental Skill creates a powerful shield, and its strength depends on how many enemies it hits. This can be useful in tricky situations where you find yourself surrounded by the enemy. Just whip out Xinyan's shield, switch back to Hu Tao and go to town on the opponent.
