Jean is one of the most famous faces in Mondstadt, and the people of the city adore her. Even the mysterious Diluc seems to hold great respect for Jean. Players of Genshin Impact pine for this five-star character as she is both a useful fighter and a great healer.

Jean is the current acting Grand Master of the knights and is seen as one of the few reasons why Mondstadt remains safe. Despite having such an important role in the knights, Jean is very much a normal girl that enjoys many of the things that other citizens of Teyvat do.

10 She Pushes Herself

Jean knows just how much everyone thinks of her and is highly aware of her overly reliable reputation. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes on some of the smallest tasks to help ensure that the city of Mondstadt keeps moving along without the slightest hiccup.

This leads to Jean missing out on sleep and often failing to remember to take time for herself so that she can relax. Jean is always working for the people of Mondstadt.

9 She Has a Pet Tortoise

One of the stranger things about Jean is her choice of pets. Instead of caring for one of the many dogs or cats that wander around the city, Jean decided that she wanted to get a Tortoise. While not much is currently known about her rather strange pet, it lets players know just how odd Jean really is.

Hopefully, more information on Jean's pet will be released later down the line. Until then, this is one small detail that adds to the character's charm.

8 Venessa is Her Idol

Despite the high acclaim that she receives from the citizens of Mondstadt, Jean still believes that she could be better. Jean idolizes the first knight Vennessa. Jean wants to be just as determined as the historical knight, despite the fact that she has already accomplished quite a lot.

Jean is the youngest grandmaster ever and is incredibly skilled with a blade, so she is well on her way to achieving her goal.

7 She Has a Family Legacy

Jean's beliefs didn't just pop-up out of nowhere; she has a deep-rooted family history in knighthood. During her childhood, she was trained in everything from swordsmanship to manners in order to carry on her family legacy of being a knight and become the head of the Gunnhildr Clan.

Unlike others, Jean embraced this strange upbringing and still holds herself to her mother's high standards.

6 Children Inspire Her

When Jean was young, she was said to look up from her studies in order to observe the other children around her playing. Instead of making her feel trapped, though, this inspired Jean to study even harder to ensure the children of Mondstadt could forever play without worry.

Jean is still inspired by playing children to this day and strives to keep them safe from all of the dangers of the world.

5 She Isn't The True Grand Master

As many players have noticed, Jean is titled "The Acting Grand Master," inferring that she isn't the actual Grand Master of the knights. This is true as the real Grand Master is Varka, who left Mondstadt on an expedition and has yet to return from his journey.

It seems that Varka enjoys being on the road more than he does performing his duties back at home.

4 Barbara is Her Sister

One of the biggest surprises in the game is that Barbara, the deaconess of the church, is actually Jean's younger sister. Barbara and Jean were separated when their parents decided to go in two different directions and the siblings grew up mostly separate from one another.

Barbara was raised by their father, while Jean was taught to be a knight by their mother.

3 Jean Wants to Be More Involved With Barbara

Despite the fact that Jean and Barbara didn't grow up together, one of Jean's wishes is to become close to her sister. Barbara idolizes Jean and wishes for the same thing, but the two girls can't seem to find the right wording in order to get to know each other better, which stresses them both out.

The two both seem less than skilled at family relations, but their work does occasionally bring them together.

2 She Loves Romance Novels

One of Jean's more surprising traits is her love for reading romance novels. Despite the fact that she is incredibly responsible, Jean secretly dreams of being whisked away by a fairytale-like romance. One of her greatest wishes may even be to find a partner and one day settle down when the time is right.

Jean will certainly find her prince charming one day, but for now, she is content with leading the knights and helping the people of Mondstadt.

1 She is Extremely Organized

Jean's level of organization can be quite scary at times as she has her daily routines completely broken down. It's also said that if she runs late, she makes detailed notes about what events made her schedule run over. She also makes sure that she doesn't leave much time open during the workday.

Jean might just be the most organized person in the city, which is strange, with Mondstadt being the freest place in Teyvat.
