Genshin Impact's 2.0 and 2.1 updates offered players a huge helping of new content. Along with new Archon quests, the world map expanded to give players access to the Inazuma region, with its ruling Electro Archon, Baal, also known as the Raiden Shogun.

The 2.1 update added more islands and offered a limited-time banner featuring the Electro Archon and a new four-star Electro character: Kujou Sara. These two are the first new Electro characters added to Genshin Impact since the game's launch, so they're exciting additions to the roster. If you were lucky enough to roll Kujou Sara or are hoping to roll her in the standard banner, you might be wondering how to build your party with her in mind. Here are some of the best teammates you can pair with her.

9 Baal (Raiden Shogun)

If you were fortunate enough to get the Raiden Shogun on her banner, then you're in luck. Baal is one of the best characters to put on a team with Kujou Sara. This is because Sara is a great support character.

The Raiden Shogun can charge up her Elemental Burst thanks to Kujou Sara. She is a great battery character, so you can use her to both buff and charge Raiden Shogun's Elemental Burst. Baal's Elemental Burst deals a hefty amount of Electro damage, so you can combine it with other elements from your team to create reactions and practically multiply the damage.

8 Beidou

Beidou on the way to Inazuma in Genshin Impact

Beidou, is a four-star character, which means you can acquire her easily. If you've been playing since at least Genshin Impact's Lantern Rite event, then you might have even snagged her as a free character. She's an Electro claymore user and one of the strongest, most versatile characters in the game.

Beidou is another great option for your Sara team because she can also use the energy provided by Sara to charge her Burst skill. Plus, having either Raiden Shogun or Beidou on your team means you can activate Elemental Resonance for your team. If you have Beidou's constellation, she might even be a better choice than Raiden Shogun.

7 Xingqiu

Xingqiu is one of the most flexible and powerful characters in the game including all the four-star and five-star characters. His Raincutter swords stay on the field after you activate them, even if you switch to another character. He's a great choice for your Sub-DPS.

He can do a fair bit of damage too, in between using Sara and your DPS character of choice. Using Sara alongside him means you can build up energy for his Elemental Burst too and focus your attack strategy around reactions that involve Hydro.

6 Kaeya

Kaeya is an ideal character to use on your team in part because he's free to play, so no matter how your luck in Genshin Impact has been, you always have him to rely on. Plus, he's a pretty good character with the right team.

Having Kaeya on a team with Sara and other characters makes him a good Sub-DPS who can cause really useful reactions. With Sara and Kaeya, you can cause Superconduct, and if you have a Hydro character on your team such as Xingqiu, you can also freeze enemies and gain the upper hand.

5 Barbara

Barbara Creeped Out

A great healer for any team, Barbara is one of Genshin Impact's free characters. You can get her when you reach Adventure Rank 18 and complete her quest. Plus, she's on the standard banner and special banners at times, meaning you can build her with ease.

Barbara is great because she's a fantastic healer. You can use her Elemental Skill and switch to another character and it will keep healing the active character while applying hydro to enemies nearby. If you build Barbara with the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers tome, you can also give your characters an attack boost when switching.

4 Fischl

Fischl happy

Fischl is a good choice for a team with Kujou Sara because she's a fast Electro DPS. Fischl's Elemental Skill brings out her raven, Oz, who stays on the field and continues to deal Electro damage even when Fischl is gone. This can be great for setting up elemental reactions.

Fischl also does a fair amount of damage, and with Sara on the team, she can be buffed further while also activating Elemental Resonance for having two Electro characters on your team.

3 Noelle

Another free character, Noelle is often underrated because she is free and also because she is a Geo character. However, Noelle is a fantastic character who can carry your team through thick and thin.

Noelle's Elemental Burst makes all of her attacks have the Geo element, which makes elemental reactions and destruction come easily. Plus, her Elemental Skill shields your character while providing healing. Noelle is a good choice for your team if you're trying to keep Sara or your other characters safe while also dealing massive amounts of damage.

2 Mona

Genshin Impact's Mona

Though she is a five-star character, being on the permanent banner makes it easier to get Mona than other limited-time characters. If you happened to have her, she can be great as a team member with Kujou Sara.

Mona's Elemental Burst can massively amplify damage, and combining her abilities with Sara's energy charging capabilities means that your DPS characters can keep hitting hard. Plus, Mona can spread Hydro around fairly well, letting you set up reactions.

1 Childe

Genshin Impact Childe still sitting

If you were lucky enough to have gotten Childe during his limited event banners, then you might want to consider putting him on a team with Sara. He's a fantastic DPS who will benefit greatly from Sara's buff. He also works really well with the other characters, such as any Electro characters you might be bringing along, such as Beidou or Fischl.

Childe's Hydro abilities allow you to spread Hydro rapidly, dealing plenty of damage. When combined with the abilities of characters such as Sara and Kaeya, the damage only increases, making him a great choice, if you have him.
