Mona has the ability to pretty much see-through everyone in Teyvat. She isn't fooled by outward appearances and understands the true nature of those around her. Thanks to this, she is able to make accurate judgments about the other people she looks into using her talents.

As previously stated, Mona isn't good with sugar coating things and is more interested in research than making friends. Since Mona is always so wrapped up in her studies, she never really socialized, leading her to be quite hard to talk to, especially since she doesn't know when to hold her tongue.

In order to make enough money to survive, Mona accepted a job from the newspaper of Teyvat called The Steambird. She writes a daily astrology column in the paper and can often be found staying up late in order to finish her articles and make enough money to survive.
The offer for the job came to Mona by chance, although she would prefer to make her money from research. While not Mona's ideal job, The Steambird provides her with a steady stream of income.
