Genshin Impact's Version 1.1 update on November 11 will give you a whole new way to explore Teyvat. During a recent Developers Discussion on the miHoYo website, it was revealed that a new item is planned to release on November 11 that will let you place your own waypoints throughout the world.

While you can currently take advantage of Teleport Waypoints scattered across Teyvat, they're often far away from your true destination. That makes it a pain to slog across the massive world map. When told by players that "traversing the game world is time-consuming," miHoYo replied with the following:

"We have developed an item that provides this kind of function which will be available for free in a new system. Travelers can look out for this in Version 1.1."

Nothing else has been made official about this new item, but leaked patch notes might give us a hint as to what we can expect. These claim that the new item is called a Portable Teleporter and can be placed anywhere you see fit – ideally high traffic locations that don't have a Teleport Waypoint nearby. The Portable Teleporter will then stay open for use over the next seven days, at which point it will disappear and you'll need to replace it.

Genshin Impact's Version 1.1 update is slated for a November 11 release, so we don't have to wait much longer before going hands-on with the new system.
