Genshin Impact Patch 1.1 Content Update — Everything You Need To Know

Although the original patch notes are in Chinese, a fan-translated breakdown was recently published over on Reddit. Here are all of the key details from the new information on Genshin Impact patch 1.1.

Genshin Impact Patch 1.1 — New Characters

Four new playable characters will be coming to Genshin Impact as part of patch 1.1. These new characters are as follows:

It is also possible that a half-Adeptus, half-human character named Ganyu will be added to the game as a 5-star character. For those who don't know, Adepti are the powerful beings tasked with watching over Liyue on behalf of the Geo Archon Rex Lapis.

Genshin Impact Patch 1.1 — New Quests

According to the recent update, the Liyue chapter of the main story will finally be finished in Genshin Impact 1.1. Xiao will return as part of this quest line, while Keqing and Ganyu will show up for the first time in the main story.

It is also rumored that there might be a new weekly boss in Liyue to join the Wolf in the North and Stormterror, who are currently the only World Bosses in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Patch 1.1 — Reputation System

The reputation system is a brand new feature in Genshin Impact that will operate separately to existing meters such as Friendship Level and Adventure Rank. Liyue and Mondstadt will each have their own independent reputation systems, and it's safe to assume it will be the same case for all future regions added via upcoming expansions.

Your reputation increases based on your deeds in a specific region, and you will get unique rewards as it rises. So far we know that there will be an item you can use to find mining spots, and that you will receive hefty discounts in both Liyue and Mondstadt after raising your reputation to a certain rank.

Genshin Impact Patch 1.1 — New Events

The Unreturned Star event is coming to Genshin Impact as part of patch 1.1. It's a co-op event that functions similarly to the Elemental Crucible, and you'll be able to add Fischl to your roster for free for participating in the event, which is a huge bonus given how powerful she is.

Other additions as part of patch 1.1 include a new area — most likely a Golden Palace — a new mob, changes to original resin — which we already knew about — and an item designed to help you locate Anemoculus and Geoculus.

Genshin Impact patch 1.1 drops on November 11, at which point all of the additions mentioned above will come into effect.
