There are tons of ways to try and get a five-star character for free, as long as fans are willing to put in a bit more work to earn it. From just simply logging in and clicking a few buttons to defeating a few hilichurls each day, players can be getting free pulls in no time.

Of course, many players are hesitant about pouring tons of money into a gatcha system. Luckily, Mihoyo has provided several ways for players to earn primogems without ever opening their wallets. While some players may need to do a bit more work depending on their point in the game, gathering up primogems for your favorite character can feel rewarding, especially when you don't have to spend your money to get them. Best of all, Mihoyo has been adding in more and more primogem rich events.

12 Spiral Abyss

While it's a bit of a challenge, getting stars in the Spiral Abyss is an easy way to earn primogems. For every three stars earned, the player will receive 100 primogems. This can be a quick way to get a few pulls, especially for those still on the lower levels of the Spiral Abyss.

Players who are on higher levels can still quickly earn rewards by properly researching enemies and building teams around them.

11 Complete The Adventures Handbook

When you first enroll in the Adventurers Guild, you are given a handbook. The handbook will have several goals related to defeating bosses, ascending artifacts, and cooking. Fulfilling a chapter's worth of these missions will grant the player 100 primogems, and there are currently nine chapters in the game.

Most of all of the goals will be completed naturally through normal gameplay, making the primogems all that much more easy to get.

10 Daily Quests

Daily quests will award you with ten primogems per completed quest and an extra twenty when you complete all four and visit the adventures guild. A new set of quests is released each day and are a great way to slowly build up the primogems in a player's account without spending money.

Players who log-in each day to do these daily quests will earn 420 primogems per week, which can quickly add up.

9 Battle Pass

While the battle pass won't always be available when it does come around, it's a great way to earn wishes. Every ten levels, a player will be awarded a wish, and it honestly isn't too hard to level up the battle pass as long as all the daily and weekly goals are met before they run out.

If a player does reach the top rank, they can even spend money to unlock the additional rewards.

8 Opening Chests

While many players may frown at opening every chest they come across, it can be a great way to slowly build-up primogems. a Common chest will have up to two primogems, and an exquisite cheat can have up to five. Precious chests are always a guaranteed five, while luxurious can have up to 40.

Most chests are quick to open and plentiful around the map, making it easy for players to build up primogems quickly.

7 Claiming Adventure Ranks

Players have to level up in-game to unlock new quests and raise their world level. In addition, leveling up is also a great way to score some extra primo gems and wishes.

Even using the adventure book can help grant extra currency while at the same time raising your traveler level. Be sure to check in with the adventure desk each time you go up a level to claim your reward.

6 Shrines of Depths

Shrines of Depths are the strange ruins that are sprinkled all over Teyvat. At first, players will notice that they have a force field that keeps them from getting the chest inside.

By completing quests and earning keys, though, players can unlock the Shrines to earn 40 primogems. This is a fun and quick way to earn primogems that will give players the incentive to do world quests.

5 Trying Out Characters

Mihoyo is always adding in new characters, and just by simply trying them out, players can earn rewards. Trying out characters like Klee can net players a free 20 primogems on top of letting them see if the character is going to be worth pulling for or not.

While all character tryouts may not give out primogems, they usually still have great item live experience books. Trying characters out rotates with each banner so players should be ready to score free primogems around every 15 days.

4 World Quests

World quests will unlock the more a player explores and levels up. These quests are often given by NPCs around the map and can take anywhere from a few minutes to over thirty, depending on the player.

Generally, the longer the quest is, the higher the reward is, and more likely it will give primogems. These quests often also give out the keys so that you can get into the Shrine of Depths.

3 Story Quests

Story quests give players tons of rewards, including primogems. For new players, this is one of the fastest ways to earn free pulls and level up. Character story quests also give out great rewards like primogems to help players have a chance at pulling the character the quest centers around.

Players can check in the quest menu what completion rewards each quest will give out at the end.

2 Trading Stardust and Starglitter

Stardust is another type of currency in the game that adds up each time a player does a pull. Stardust isn't useless, though, as it can be redeemed for a large variety of items, including those needed to level up. Each month through 5 of each type of wish can be bought with stardust.

Altogether that gives a player ten free pulls a month for doing nothing other than visiting the shop menu. Starglitter can also be accumulated from four and five-star pulls and every 5 can be redeemed for Fate.

1 Participating in Events

Another big way to earn primogems is by keeping an eye on the announcements about events. There have already been several events that awarded players with tons of primogems just for checking in-game mail, going to a log-in menu, and trading forged goods.

As the game as moved along, massive primogem earning festivals have been introduced. These contain long lists of events that allow players to collect a massive amount of primogems. Best of all, most of the new event content is multiplayer.
