Kaedehara Kazuha, a wandering samurai, is one of the strongest Anemo characters in Genshin Impact. Our first encounter with him is aboard ‘The Crux,’ as a temporary member of the crew. This polite and soft-spoken member of the Kaedehara Clan has a really heartbreaking story, and he carries that burden throughout his journey.RELATED: Genshin Impact: Kazuha Build GuideAs we learn through the Story Quest, Kazuha is a skilled swordsman and makes an excellent addition to your team as an Anemo support character. The Anemo element causes a Swirl reaction which greatly increases the damage inflicted by the entire party. When paired with other elemental characters, Kazuha provides constant Swirl reactions making him a valuable addition to any party.

Viridescent Venerer All The Way

Kaedehara Kazuha 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer Artifact Set

Currently, the Viridescent Venerer set is a staple to any Anemo character in Genshin Impact. While obtaining the perfect artifacts will be tiresome, simply using the artifacts for the set bonus is worth it.

The 2-piece Viridescent Venerer Set will increase Anemo damage by 15 percent and the 4-piece set will boost Swirl damage by 60 percent with additionally reducing enemies’ Elemental Resistance.

Double Jump Using Kazuha!

Kazuha’s Elemental Skill, Chihayaburu, uses the surrounding air to lift him higher into the air, essentially making it a double jump. This skill is especially useful while exploring the open world and collecting Oculi.

It can also be used while in midair if you are running out of stamina. This will allow him to remain airborne for a longer period of time. His passive skill, Cloud Strider is also excellent as it reduces the sprinting stamina consumption of the party by 20 percent.

Elemental Mastery Is Key

Kazuha’s entire damage potential is dependent on Elemental Mastery. So, while building him, pay close attention to the artifact stats and sub-stats. You will need to grind for the perfect Viridescent Venerer artifact with Elemental Mastery as the main stat.

When maxed out, the Sands, Goblet, and Circlet can boost his Elemental Mastery by over 500. Along with the main stats, if any artifact gets Elemental Mastery as a sub-stat, it will be an added bonus.

Iron Sting - The Best F2P Weapon

One of the few characters who will benefit from a free-to-play weapon, Kazuha and the Iron Sting go perfectly together. Iron Sting, a 4-Star craftable weapon, will buff his Elemental Mastery by 151 when it is maxed out. All you have to do is to collect some White Iron chunks, Crystal Chunks, and a Northlander Sword Billet.

While the first two can be found in the open world, you will need to beat a weekly boss or buy the Northlander Billet from the Mondstadt Souvenir Shop.

Constellation 2 - If You Can

Genshin Impact’s gacha system is notorious for its low drop rate and elusive characters. But if you are willing to spend some money, you can opt for a C2 Kazuha. His second Constellation, Yamaarashi Tailwind, boosts his Elemental Burst. When Kazuha Slash is activated, it increases his Elemental Mastery by 200.

Additionally, any team member in its radius will also get a buff to their Elemental Mastery. This huge boost to the whole team’s Elemental Mastery is worth it if you decide to pull for Kazuha in the next banner, whenever Mihoyo decides to run it.

Prioritize Elemental Burst

Every Genshin Impact player knows that upgrading a talent of any character requires considerable resources. Since Kazuha will be used mainly as a support character, upgrading his Elemental Burst is the way to go. With his Elemental Burst maxed out, he can be tagged in to create a Swirl Reaction. And if you have C2 Kazuha, then there's nothing like it.

Once you have upgraded his Elemental Burst, you can upgrade his Element Skill. Using the Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst should be the primary objective of Kazuha players.

Elemental Skill Crowd Control

Kazuha’s Elemental Skill has a unique play style that might need some getting used to. While in combat, holding and pressing the Elemental Skill will have a different effect. Holding the Elemental Skill will unleash greater Anemo damage over a larger area than the Press mode. This can be utilized to gather enemies to deal massive AoE damage.

This ability paired along with his plunging attack can be a devastating combo. You can also use it to pull items like dropped artifacts, weapons, and even the characters’ dolls in one place.

Plunging Attack Bonus

After using his Elemental Skill and within 10 seconds of remaining airborne, Kazuha can unleash a powerful Plunging attack called Midare Ranzan. This plunging attack damage will be automatically converted to Anemo damage. You can also deal different Elemental damage if another element is present.

This in turn will cause a Swirl reaction increasing the overall damage. This is an excellent trick to increase the damage inflicted on numerous enemies if you can time it correctly.

Battery For Elemental Recharge

Kaedehara Kazuha Elemental Skill - Hold Mode

Kazuha can be an excellent battery for the team. It essentially means that using his Elemental Skill will generate particles that can be used to charge the Elemental Burst. This is especially useful for team compositions that rely on Elemental Bursts.

You can use Kazuha’s Elemental Skill and then switch to an Anemo DPS character like Xiao to charge his Elemental Burst.

Elemental DPS Combo

One important thing that you must remember is Kazuha’s Element absorption. When his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst are used it will absorb another element present to create a Swirl reaction. So when you are using his Elemental Skill, use the same element as that of your main DPS. And when using his Elemental Burst, use a different element to react with the main DPS’ element.

For example, if using Pyro as the main DPS, use Pyro for Elemental Skill to get an Elemental damage bonus. And, while using Elemental Burst, use a different element like Hydro, to create Vaporize reaction and deal additional damage.
