Genshin Impact, the most popular JRPG in the world, is currently available on PC, PS4, and mobile devices. If you're wondering about an Xbox version of the game, we have some bad news. According to the developers, there are no plans for developing the game on Xbox.

In an interview with GameRant last month, Genshin Impact developer MiHoYo was asked about their plans for other consoles, including Xbox and next-gen. Their response may disappoint fans hoping to play the game on the new Xbox Series S|X:

We have plans regarding next-gen consoles, and we will be announcing them as these plans take shape. We do not currently have plans to release the game on Xbox.

Since then, the studio has revealed that a Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact is in development, though no further details about a release date have been revealed.

It isn't suprising that Genshin Impact won't be making its way to the Xbox given that both Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo's Switch are significantly more popular game consoles in Japan. For now, Xbox owners will need to play on the game on either PS4, PC, or their mobile device.
