Yun Jin is a playable character in Genshin Impact that specializes in Geo elemental skills. She also doubles as a singer and dancer, which only adds to her graceful attacks. She is an instant fan-favorite to play as in this delightful open-world title, but she also performs well as a support team member, making her versatile when team building.
With a wide variety of characters in Genshin Impact, along with new updates and downloadable content, it can be a task to determine who works well in teams. Yun Jin’s versatility is perfect in this situation.
10 Noelle
When you pair Noelle with Yun Jin, she activates Geo Resonance, allowing Noelle’s shield functions to kick in. This means that Yun Jin can deal fast damage in battle while protected by Noelle’s elementally influenced powers. The game also features these two together when you play Yun Jin in a trial, suggesting the game developers feel they are best suited for one another, as well. From here you have a solid foundation to begin building your four-person team.
9 Zhongli
Another Geo-based character, Zhongli’s most beneficial skill is creating a shield that can protect all teammates at once, allowing them to deal damage without incurring any. He can also damage all opponents in one blow once his Geo skills have been activated, instead of having to fight one on one to make an impact.
8 Yanfei
A Pyro-based character with strong charged attacks, Yanfei is handy to pair with Yun Jin. Her DPS (damage per second) is good, but Yun Jin can increase Yanfei’s damage simply by picking up Pyro Elemental Shards, strengthening chances of defeating the opponent.
When building a team, this will work especially well with any character that offers shielding from attacks, as it allows for a constant increase in DPS while not taking on any damage yourself.
7 Yoimiya
While Yoimiya doesn’t offer much for high-damage dealing attacks, Yun Jin’s Geo skills will increase her normal attack damage, as well as her attack speed, to make her a viable addition to Yun Jin’s team. Some online rumors suggest that Yun Jin was almost exclusively made as a booster to Yoimiya’s normal attack, though that’s solely hearsay. What is for sure is the two paired together make an almost unstoppable team.
6 Eula Lawrence
A Cryo-based user, Eula is the Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company, which is Genshin Impact’s version of the National Guard, more or less. She also comes from a long line of tyrannical rulers in Mondstadt, making her someone not to be trifled with physically or politically.
On her own, Eula deals a high amount of damage, and she has pretty good attack speed, which means Yun Jin’s ability to boost attacks from her allies will only strengthen Eula’s already impressive attack.
5 Tartaglia Childe
Childe is another Genshin Impact character that offers a strong display of power with his normal attacks, so when teamed up with Yun Jin, his power will only be amplified. He also has the ability to switch his fight style to melee- a unique trait to him. This means he can get closer to opponents and still deal damage, and again with the help of Yun Jin’s boost this advantage will be impactful for the overall success of the team.
4 Xingqui
A Hydro-based user, Xingqui’s deals the most damage with his burst from the Guhua Sword without any added boosts or benefits. Though he tends to be paired with Cryo and other Hydro characters, if you decide to include him in the team with Yun Jin, she will give him an extra boost to his sword, effectively doubling his DPS. Xingqui can also do rapid strikes with his normal attack, allowing you to vary your attack style with him, but still produce huge results with each attack.
3 Arataki Itto
On his own, Itto offers good offensive skills, probably thanks to his life as a leader of the Arataki Gang, but figuring out who complements him can be tricky. When you pair him with Yun Jin in his Ultimate form, however, he has good offensive skills, but also gets a boost to his defensive attacks and gives him access to Geo elemental attacks. This exchange of skills and boosts can make Itto feel like an almost entirely new character, and quite beneficial to play with alongside Yun Jin.
2 Ningguang
Besides acting as a ‘battery’ or power source for Yun Jin in battle, one of Ningguang’s attacks features her launching two gems. Yun Jin can then use those gems to double the damage for each hit they provide, making for a much more critical hit in one blow. Although she can only shield herself, if you team Ningguang, Yun Jin, and a shielding character- for instance you could use Zhongli- you have the potential to avoid being hit by the enemy almost entirely.
1 Razor
Maybe not the first character people will think of to team with Yun Jin, but Razor complements her well. Raised by wolves, he can perform up to four consecutive attacks as his normal attack, making his damage high and speed fast, adding Yun Jin will then take that power and speed and amplify it with a boost.
Razor is the only character in Genshin Impact that can utilize all of Yun Jin’s stats stacking, increasing your chances of using all available perks to win. He is also an Electro-based elemental user, which is always handy to have on your team.
