Sackboy: A Big Adventure hits PS4 and PS5 on November 12, and – oddly enough – there's a compelling reason for Death Stranding fans to pick up the expensive Digital Deluxe Edition. Not only will you get a digital art book and soundtrack, but you'll also get several exclusive costumes – including one based on Sam from Kojima's latest creation.
Honestly? Sackboy's a bit terrifying sporting Norman Reedus's facial hair. He's also coddling what appears to be a BB in sack form, further upping the creep factor. Then there's the disctinct lack of boxes on his back – the costume would be much more authentic if Sackboy had at least seven of them towering over his head.
Nitpicking aside, the costume is likely to be a fun addition to our adorable adventurer's wardrobe. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with several other costumes, too. Here's everything you're $80 will get you:
- Digital art book
- Digital Soundtrack
- 4 Sackboy Costumes (Connor, Jin, Deacon, Sam Porter Bridges)
- 4 Sackboy Emotes (Based on the above characters)
- 20 Sackboy Avatars

Purchasing the game on PS4 will also get you a free upgrade to PS5 whenever you make the jump to next-gen consoles. However, it's worth pointing out that if you purchase the physical version for PS4, you won't be able to take advantage of the free upgrade if you end up buying a PS5 Digital Edition. Other than that little snag, it's a great incentive to get people playing without worrying about an eventual console change.
Whether all the above content is worth $80 is up for debate. However, dropping an extra $10 will get you the Sackboy: A Big Adventure Special Edition, which comes with an adorable Sackboy plushie – and is most certainly worth every penny.
