The Battlefield: Bad Company franchise contains two of the greatest achievements in Battlefield history. By incorporating unprecedented levels of environmental destruction, both Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 were able to separate themselves from an already saturated genre. In the past, Electronic Arts, one of the major developers behind Battlefield: Bad Company, had discussed plans to release Battlefield: Bad Company 3. New rumors are suggesting that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 may be launching sooner than we expected and have also potentially revealed several key features.

Rumors are not always substantiated, but this doesn't mean they're always false. In a perfect world, developers would keep us fully informed on their agenda and would announce new games right away. We instead rely on leaks through employees and other forms of insider information. Later we will discuss the claims of YouTube user "AlmightyDaq" who once revealed the release of Battlefield 1 in 2016. Although this user has only six videos, he has been credible in the past, and therefore, he could be validated in his claims.

Battlefield: Bad Company 3 is expected to be Electronic Arts and DICE's hottest new game. If it contains more destruction, increased realism, and gameplay that wows us and is not typical, it will surely be a hit with fans. Battlefield 1 was a success with critics and Battlefield: Bad Company needs to improve on that with new changes.

If you have played any Battlefield: Bad Company titles in the past, you are probably as hyped as we are. Here are 20 Battlefield Bad Company 3 Rumors That Will Blow You Away.

20 It’s Coming Sooner Than You Expected

A report by trustedreviews.com, as well as several others, stated that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 could be released in 2018. TrustedReviews' information was taken from YouTube user "TheAlmightyDaq" who has been correct about leaked information in the past, including the release of Battlefield 1 back in 2016.

There are conflicting statements that are saying YouTube user "TheAlmightyDaq" may or may not leaked false information, but at this point, we can never know for sure. It is safe to assume that DICE will be releasing their next Battlefield game soon since they typically release a new Battlefield addition every one to two years. Whether their next Battlefield addition will be Battlefield: Bad Company 3 remains to be seen. We are eagerly waiting for any news that will lead to a definitive release date for Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

19 It Will Have Maps From Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2

newgamenetwork.com

Multiple rumors and history tell us that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will include maps from the previous Battlefield: Bad Company titles. Maps such as Oasis from Battlefield: Bad Company were designed with just the right size for competitive play but without an overcrowding of players. It truly represents a chaotic battlefield and is possibly the best representation of what a Battlefield map should be. Although Oasis' graphics appear dated by today's Battlefield standards, it remains a highly enjoyable map to play.

Electronic Arts and DICE have been known to remake maps from previous Battlefield titles. In Battlefield 4's Second Assault DLC, it made available Battlefield 3 maps such as Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm. Electronic Arts even added the map Parcel Storm, in the form of a golf course, to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. Fans of the Battlefield: Bad Company series are itching to play beautiful remastered Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 maps in 4K.

18 Post-Vietnam, But Not Historically Accurate

indiewire.com

Numerous developers have attempted to make games fit in different eras, but none can quite capture the significance associated with the battles of World War 1 and 2.

Games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare has adopted a futuristic style of play which led to high sales but was criticized by critics and the gaming community. The concept of people running and gunning on walls can be fun but takes away realism, and because of a lack of realism, gameplay can suffer. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 is rumored to be taking place in post-Vietnam, which is just after World War II. We will likely see many of the same weapons and vehicles that were utilized in World War 2 if this rumor is validated.

17 We Can Finally Forget About Microtransactions

Those who've been playing games longer than ten years, or have had the opportunity to try classic video games via emulator or virtual console remember an era free from microtransactions. For those who have not played retro consoles such as the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, or Sega Genesis try to imagine video games that were finished when they released and didn't require multiple purchases to obtain all of the game's content.

Recently, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 3's developer, DICE, has been under fire from the gaming community for making microtransactions necessary to obtain vital content. Characters such as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Emperor Palpatine required spending high amounts of in-game currency to unlock them. DICE, the same company that developed Battlefront 2 will be working on Battlefield Bad Company 3. Hopefully, they have learned their lesson.

16 That Red Stuff And Sleepless Nights

i.redd.it/8ylzrux0lo7x.jpg

A post-World War II game would be more thrilling if there were more gore. A title that is gritty and adds several layers of realism would be too good to be true. Very often, first-person shooters include blood in the campaign and remove it from multiplayer. This blood can usually be toggled on and off in games.

Too much of this can also be a bad thing. In Gears of War, it's pushed to extreme levels. It fits Gears of War's style of play, but it is highly unrealistic. With higher resolutions such as 4K and the addition of HDR, it appears more natural. The developers of Battlefield: Bad Company 3 are likely concerned about creating a game that is too violent, and as a result, receiving a rated M ESRB rating. If Bad Company 3 were rated M, it could reduce the number of players who are not aged 17+.

15 It Will Be The Next Battlefield Game To Release

roadtovrlive-5ea0.kxcdn.com

YouTube creator "AlmightyDaq" has revealed that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will be the next Battlefield title. He has been correct about the release of Battlefield 1 in 2016, so it is highly possible he is right about this. Without confirmation from employees working on Battlefield: Bad Company 3, it is difficult to separate what is fact from fiction. Insider tips are often the source of leaked release dates.

From tracking the trend of Electronic Arts' release of Battlefield games, it is safe to assume they will be launching their next entry soon. Battlefield 3 released in 2011, Battlefield 4 released in 2013, Battlefield Hardline released in 2015, and Battlefield 1 released in 2016. Based on this trend of releases, surely their next title will launch this year. If it will be Battlefield: Bad Company 3 is not confirmed, but rumors are saying it will be.

14 Environmental Destruction Unlike Any Other Battlefield

http://media.indiedb.com

The first Battlefield: Bad Company title introduced a feature that was seldom included in first-person shooters. In the past, destructible environments were a great way to add action and realism to a game. Prior to Battlefield: Bad Company, games such as Twisted Metal 4, Army Men Sarge's Heroes, The Simpsons: Hit & Run, and Crysis all had environments that could be wrecked.

The previously mentioned destructible environment games had basic destruction that would knock down fences or merely break polygon houses. Battlefield: Bad Company titles allowed a player to leave a small town in ruins. Using grenade launchers (noob tubes) one could take down bridges and massive walls. This utter annihilation was improved further in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Hopefully, DICE has unique plans for Bad Company 3 and will add destruction like we've never seen before.

13 Could It Be The Best Battlefield Yet?

http://cdn.edgecast.steamstatic.com

If the developers at Electronic Arts have internalized what is considered to be one of the biggest gaming backlashes after the release of Star Wars Battlefront 2, they will have learned that the gaming community is more unforgiving than ever before.

Forbes.com titled their review of Star Battlefront 2, "Star Wars Battlefront 2' Review: The Empire Screws Up." In the review, they made comments comparing Star Wars Battlefront 2 to crashing into the side of a mountain. The reasoning behind this statement is because the execution fell flat with microtransactions and buggy servers. Forbes contributor Dave Thier also said, "There is no joy in the failure of Star Wars Battlefront 2." As long as EA as learned from the glaring mistakes that were present in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and previous Battlefield titles, there is nothing preventing Battlefield: Bad Company 3 from being the best Battlefield yet.

12 Greater Class Balancing And Fewer Cheap Snipers

YouTube (Jinx TheGamer)

One of the most common complaints we hear from Battlefield players of Battlefield Hardline and Battlefield 1 is the overabundance of cheap sniping. Battlefield 4 also had this issue, but it was to a lesser extent since sniping was made more difficult.

By no means did Battlefield 4 do sniping correctly. Maps such as Siege of Shanghai left players on the ground helpless against sniper fire from rooftops. Had all roofs been accessible from the ground, this would have removed most of the sniper issues that are present on Siege of Shanghai. Maps such as Goldmud Railway which had vast open lands also incurred this issue. Sniping improves Battlefield games drastically and is an essential component of its gameplay. It has been discussed in the gaming community that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 needs to perfect the formula for class balancing and takeaway cheap spots for sniping.

11 Can There Really Be Too Much Weapon Customization?

YouTube (ZRS - Gameplay & Trailers!)

It is not clear if Battlefield: Bad Company 3 intends to expand the variety of weapon customizations, build on them, or both but gamezone.com has stated there will be some form of improvements in gun customizations for Battlefield: Bad Company 3. They also said that it would host customization improvements to characters and vehicle models.

It is doubtful there can ever too many weapon customizations as long the weapon menu's interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Weapon customizations such as reticule shapes, camos, scopes, and attachments are why Battlefield stands out from other first-person shooters. Battlefield has one of the most extensive weapons lineup and customization availability. It goes without saying that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 should expand their already expansive list of weapons customizations.

10 The Game Has Been In Development Since Before Battlefield 1

dice-wp-prd.s3.amazonaws.com

Rumors have only recently surfaced regarding the release of Battlefield: Bad Company 3, but it is no secret that video game developers begin early planning phases for their video games well before its release. It is uncertain how long ago Battlefield: Bad Company 3 started development. Battlefield: Bad Company 3's predecessor, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released on March 2, 2010, so it has been over seven years since the last Bad Company.

How much of the game has been completed so far is unknown. We are hoping that development has been ongoing since long before Battlefield 1. Battlefield 1 was a massive achievement in World War 1 combat so if their next title is Battlefield: Bad Company 3 then it fits well since Bad Company 3 is rumored to be based during or just after World War 2.

9 Nintendo’s First Battlefield?

YouTube (tubabluba789)

Numerous attempts have been made by Nintendo to bring the Battlefield franchise to their consoles. With the Wii U's lackluster sales and game lineup, it did not seem like an attractive way to introduce Battlefield to Nintendo for DICE. DICE has expressed interest in bringing titles such as Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 to Nintendo, but all were ultimately canceled for various reasons.

Now that the Nintendo Switch is flourishing in sales, games such as Skyrim are being ported to the console. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 has an excellent chance of being Nintendo's first Battlefield game as long as Battlefield 1 doesn't beat them to it. Battlefield 1 has been out for some time now, but there have been conversations over bringing it to Nintendo Switch anyway. With inferior hardware, the Nintendo Switch won't look as good as the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, or Xbox One X but it will make it available to Nintendo players.

8 Better Stability At 60FPS

YouTube (Cal627)

Rumours on the internet are indicating that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will attempt to improve frame stability. In high-action moments, games such as Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline had significant drops in frames.

Using the power of consoles such as the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro we know for sure there will be higher stability in frames, but we are hoping Electronic Arts doesn't neglect the overwhelming number of users who are using original Xbox One and PS4s and aren't planning to upgrade. Doubling the frames from 30FPS to 60FPS is essential in this day and age to make a game spectacular. Battlefield: Bad Company 3 needs proper execution and innovation to make their title stand out. The stakes are too high for Electronic Arts; they need to focus less on profits and instead on regaining trust from their consumers.

7 5v5 Addictive Competitive Matches

i.redd.it/rmw7y9axdt4z.jpg

According to guru3d.com, Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will feature a 5v5 mode that is similar to Squad Obliteration. Although we would love making more players possible in a single match, the addition of smaller cohesive team matches is also appealing. From adding 5v5 competitive matches, Battlefield can compete with other video game franchises such as Counter-Strike and Call of Duty while maintaining large-scale battles.

How similar this 5v5 mode will be to Squad Obliteration is unknown, but they will likely make some changes in the form of new variants. Teamwork was essential in previous Bad Company titles, and in 5v5 modes, it is even more important to stick together. Without a doubt, we are looking forward to Battlefield: Bad Company 3's new 5v5 mode.

6 Stable Servers And Few Bugs At Launch

static1.gamespot.com

Electronic Arts and DICE have a terrible track record when it comes to stable servers. We thought they might have learned that for a game to be successful with critics, they must have stable servers at launch. Most reviewers write and publish their reviews within the first few weeks of a video game's release. Seldom do they rewrite reviews to make up for servers that were later stabilized.

People from the Battlefield community are hoping Electronic Arts can muster what is required to get their servers in order. In addition, the game should be free from bugs. Games such as Battlefield 4, SimCity, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are titles with EA's name on it that had shakey launches and were riddled with bugs. Sometimes EA fixes existing issues, and other times they seemingly ignore them. This is the case in Battlefield 4's campaign's saving problems which rendered the campaign unplayable.

5 Sniping Improvements? Yes Please

infinitemirai.files.wordpress.com

We already discussed fine-tuning the sniper class as well as others so there will be more class balancing and less cheap sniping, but the sniper rifle could still benefit from changes to improve its overall experience. Battlefield Hardline made steps in the right direction with improvements in scope visibility and added stability to weapons. Battlefield's sniper rifle handling is far from perfect though.

Battlefield 4's sniper rifle was proven to be ineffective at long ranges even with its range toggling. One of the best improvements Battlefield: Bad Company 3 could make is drastically changing sniper rifle range toggling, so hitting enemies at extreme distances is less challenging. Of course, there should be some difficulty, but it shouldn't be anywhere near the borderline impossibility that was contained in Battlefield 4.

4 I Thought You Were Watching My Back!?!

YouTube (DSPGaming)

One of the most overlooked components of video games is co-op online single player. Video games are becoming more and more integrated into online and co-op online is a superb way to get more players to play it. Electronic Arts and DICE create enjoyable campaigns with great stories, but often players won't get a chance to play them because playing online with friends is more enjoyable.

Adding co-op online seems like an essential feature to include in campaigns. We may never have loved the Halo franchise's campaigns as much as we do if it weren't for its online co-op. Halo 5 and many other new video games are including 4-player co-op online, and many players who wouldn't ordinarily play campaigns are. We are hoping there is some form of campaign online co-op because EA has neglected to add it to previous Battlefield titles. 4-player co-op online, however, would be a dream come true.

3 Did That Really Just Happen?

(YouTube) rikkuhoraiji

Too often do video games add realism in the wrong way. Yes, the graphics should appear realistic, the combat should feel lifelike, but too much realism can detract from gameplay. An explosion that causes a player to skyrocket a hundred feet in the air is by no means realistic, but it is incredibly awesome. This type of gameplay is by no means how one would fight in a real war, but it makes for a memorable experience.

Battlefield: Bad Company 3 needs more "did that really just happen" moments. Moments that are worthy of clip recording and moments that you may even talk about days later. First-person shooter games today are blending elements such as class customization and others but are forgetting to be unique. Through adding moments that shock players, Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will stand out.

2 Battlefield Bad Company 3 At E3 2018

YouTube (Fragaz)

People are inferring from the rumors that are present, regarding Battlefield: Bad Company 3, that Bad Company 3 will be making an appearance at E3 2018. E3 2016 was a joyous event that contained a highly publicized Battlefield 1 playable event. Celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Terry Crews, Marshawn Lynch, Zac Efron, Emily Ratajkowski, Tyrese Gibson, The Game, Wiz Khalifa, Zedd, and more all were present and played Battlefield 1. Wiz Khalifa had the top score of 7,056 points in a match.

Since it has been two years since Battlefield 1's E3 event, we can assume the Battlefield franchise will make an appearance at E3. It would be shocking if they didn't, but if an extra year is required to improve the game, it is worth the wait. Whether it is going to be Battlefield: Bad Company 3, Battlefield 5, or some other Battlefield game remains to be seen.

1 DICE’s Most Gorgeous Game Yet

Battlefield 1 Graphcs
cdn.vox-cdn.com

We can put our trust in DICE to make Battlefield: Bad Company 3 beautiful if anything. DICE has never had an issue designing maps that were as attractive as they were large. We have seen it again and again in Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 1, Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and Medal of Honor.

We were especially wowed by Bad Company 1 and 2's graphics. It had a unique style and showed consistent detail throughout their maps. You can even pick up a copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 today and still be amazed by the level of detail. Xbox One owners are encouraged to pick up Battlefield: Bad Company 1 and 2 since they are both backward compatible and look even better on the Xbox One.

Battlefield 1's art achievement surpassed all previous Battlefield games. Whatever DICE has planned for what will be one of their biggest Battlefield launches yet, is sure to be worth the wait.
