We don't know much about the recently announced Ghost of Tsushima movie adaption, but it was announced today that award-winning writer Takashi Doscher will produce the screenplay for the production. Doscher only has a few full-length feature films under his belt so far, but his debut project Still has received several awards from film festivals across the US.First revealed by Deadline, Doscher is set to write the Ghost of Tsushima move adaptation that is currently being helmed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski. Stahelski - along with Alex Young and Jason Spitz - has formed his own company to set to work on the adaptation, with Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch Productions serving as executive producer.Related: I Don't Mind Games Trying To Be Movies, But Why Are They All The Same MovieThat's pretty much all the info we have on the film so far as the project is apparently still in early development. Seeing as though the film's writer has only just been announced, it'll likely be a while before we see Jin Sakai's big screen debut. However, Stahelski recently spoke in an interview about the challenges of adapting a big video game property like Ghost of Tsushima and vowed not to make the same mistakes that other video game movie adaptations have made in the past.

For now, we'll just have to settle for some other PlayStation properties that are getting TV/movie adaptions, the most high-profile at the moment being HBO's The Last of Us TV show which is currently in production. Filming is currently ongoing at the moment, although we won't have to wait too long as HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys recently confirmed that the show will premiere in 2023.

If you're wanting something to watch right now, the Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake recently hit cinemas and has actually performed quite well, making PlayStation's first foray into movies a big success.
