Not even two full weeks have gone by since Capcom announced that Ghosts 'N Goblins Resurrection would be hitting PC, PS4, and Xbox One this year that we now know exactly when. The surprisingly great retro revival title will be hitting the aforementioned platforms on June 1, 2021. That certainly is "soon," just as the previous announcement said.

Pre-orders should now be live on all respective digital storefronts and there are some bonuses in store for PC and PS4 players. On Steam, you'll simply get a few wallpapers to adorn your desktop with and a mini-soundtrack selection while PS4 players will receive two different themes for their dashboards. Interestingly, PS4 themes do not work on PS5, so those will do nothing for owners of Sony's next-generation device.

The news of Ghosts 'N Goblins Resurrection's release came alongside that of confirmation for when Capcom Arcade Stadium would be hitting additional platforms. Released earlier this year on the Nintendo Switch, it seems fan demand for the compilation was strong enough that additional titles will be released as DLC in the future. That news could also bode well for Ghosts 'N Goblins, which just might receive extra updates in the future.

Even if that doesn't happen, it seems Capcom is finally ready to dig into its back catalog for games that aren't named Street Fighter or Resident Evil. Fans have been longing for new installments in some of their favorite series and Capcom has a rich history to pull from.
