It has been one year since the release of Isle of Armor for Pokemon Sword & Shield, and to celebrate, Nintendo is giving away Bulbasaurs and Squirtles with the Gigantamax factor as free gifts. You can get both of those in-game now.

And then once you're done, you can go to Pokemon Home and get another Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Pokemon Home is holding a similar giveaway to celebrate the release of Home version 1.4.0 for mobile devices, which apparently means getting a Bulbasaur and Squirtle that are both capable of Gigantamaxing once they evolve into Venusaur and Blastoise, respectively.

There’s no time limit on these giveaways at present, but they never last forever, so grab these gifts while the grabbing’s good!

There's a lot happening in the world of Pokemon these days. Nintendo Direct surprisingly didn't bring any big Pokemon news, but that's just because Nintendo decided to announce Pokemon Unite separately a few days later. This new Pokemon-themed MOBA has two teams of five battle it out in a Pokemon Arena, scoring points by throwing glowing balls through hoops. Judging by the trailer, there's still plenty of combat to be had either by taking out the enemy team or leveling up your Pokemon by jungling against random 'mons.

Pokemon Unite arrives on Switch in July and mobile later in September.

The Gigantamax Sandaconda Dynamax Crystal event is also on right now, which will give you a serial code to get a Dynamax Crystal to take on Gigantamax Sandaconda. And in Pokemon Go, Shiny Bidoofs are on the way for the Bidoof Breakout event starting June 25 and running to June 28. Each day will bring a new special attack for Bidoof, so check out the details in our previous coverage so you catch the perfect Bidoof.
