Gloomwood, even in Early Access, is teeming with hidden items, consumables, and other hidden treasures scattered throughout the levels. In the very beginning, there are multiple ways to obtain the Revolver, the first handgun available, rewarding the players that meticulously skulk around the Fishery.
With this in mind, we wanted to make a list of all the coins you can currently find in the game. Please note that right now they don't have a purpose, but when the game sees a full release, you will be stacked for the foreseeable future.
As Gloomwood is a title still in Early Access, the information contained within this guide is subject to change upon the game's full release.
Accountant's Office
The first on our list is a room that's the most packed with coins in the game. You can find the Accountant's Office on the second floor of the Fishery, on Stairway A. To open the door, you can use a couple of things:
- Fire a few rounds with the revolver to break the door.
- Make some noise, so the guard on the other side will open the door to inspect the cause.
After that, feel free to fill your pockets with all the coins.
Storage Room
Right after the Accountant's Office, you will eventually end up in a place where your captors looked down upon you at the start of the game. From here, look for the sign above an entrance that says "Storage". Inside you will find a chest that contains some coins.
Front Office
When acquiring your sword-cane, you will find a map next to it. Use it to locate the Front Office near the Loading Bay. Upon entering the office, you'll find a small number of coins on the table.
Under The Water
With the Fishery done, it's time to jump into the murky waters. Look for the glowing green fungi that grow here to locate some coins, as well as other goodies like ammo.
House Near The Fishery
On your way out, don't forget to look into the lone house near the entrance to the mines. Dispose of a guard standing here using your backstabbing skills, then find an opening on the floor. Keep going down until you have descended into a cave. You'll find a door here that can be opened later in the game, as well as some pocket money on the table nearby.
Inside The Mines
Upon normally progressing through the game, you will inevitably end up in the mines. There are plenty of coins and other loot to be found here. When first entering the level, take every right turn you can. This way, you will end up in the room with a few coins on the table, as well as some boxes containing healing syringes. Look for the electrified door, which will tell you that you're walking in the right direction.
At The Bottom Of The Dog Pit
While venturing forth through the mines, you will stumble upon a chamber filled with holes emanating sickly-green light. Dispose of the aggressive hounds found here and look for a small body of water. At the bottom, you can find a few coins to add to your inventory.
Down In The Basement
With no more coins to be found in the mines, make your way out to what is currently the final level of the game. Following the road, you will see a house with a couple of guards keeping watch. Dispose of them or stealth around, the choice is yours.
Go into the house and open the door on your left. Inside this small room, you will find a large hole in the floor, wide enough for you to fit through. You'll find an explosive barrel near the entrance, so carry it carefully through this hole and use it as a stand to climb the wall on your right.
You can do this without the barrel by hugging the right side and holding the spacebar while jumping.
Near The Fallen Carriage
Continuing on your way to the tavern, you will see a couple of guards inspecting a broken carriage with a few corpses nearby. You can find two pouches with coins here: one on the ground, and one hanging from the belt of one of the guards.
Under The Tavern
In the basement of the tavern, you will find an entrance leading to an underground path to the lighthouse. Keep descending until you find a metal door. Here you can find a phonograph for a much-needed save.
Continue going down until you reach the sewers. Here you can find a couple of coins and some revolver ammo near the body of an unfortunate man.
In The Building Near The Lighthouse
Finally, en route to the lighthouse, you will see a building partly broken down by weather. You can find some coins by going to the second floor, but be careful — there are lots of enemies, and you won't have a lot of ammo.
