God of War is a game that has something for everyone. From interesting Norse mythology and fun puzzles to hard-hitting action and gruesome fights, it is no wonder the game is so popular. Of course, since being ported to PC, players are finding that if something is missing, they can simply mod it in themselves. That is how poor Atreus has ended up on the worse end of puberty.
Over on Nexus Mods, user InspectorXyto has uploaded a mod to give Kratos’s son all the fun of puberty. Specifically, this add-on will inflict a face full of acne onto Atreus, as if he didn’t have enough to deal with already. Let’s just hope a voice-cracking mod isn’t in his future.
This is not just any old acne mod. The uploader noted that Atreus will experience “acne at its worst,” as they placed “a lot of effort into the mod by researching different types of acne”. This acne skin is therefore the best possible one to have, if you want Atreus to suffer the tribulations of being a teenager.
This new face-scarring mod is just one of many that are available for the Norse-inspired game. While God of War has only been out on PC for less than a month, players have made tons of game-changing mods. The first ones appeared mere hours after the game launched on PC. While these made minor adjustments to the graphics, the mods only snowballed from there.
Players can choose to begin the game with an already leveled-up and fully geared Kratos or completely disable the HUD and remove the PlayStation intro video. If aesthetics are more your thing, you have the option to remove all of Kratos’s facial hair (even eyebrows) or have his armor be completely invisible to better ogle the God of War’s musculature. The possibilities are endless.
