Concept art for Odin's design in God of War Ragnarok has leaked online, giving us a first look at Sony Santa Monica's take on the Allfather.

One of the most exciting things about God of War Ragnarok is that it has several massive Norse figures that it didn't use in the last game, but that are going to show up in a big way for the sequel. Nowhere is this more true than with the Allfather himself, Odin, who was references throughout Kratos and Atreus' first journey, but was never seen.

Teases from God of War's art director, Raf Grasseti, earlier in the year also indicated that his design was going to be something special, leading to much speculation about what he's going to look like. Thanks to AestheticGamer (also known as Dusk Golem), we might have just got our first look at the character through some leaked concept art. Consider this your final spoiler warning if you want to go into God of War Ragnarok without knowing what Odin might end up looking like.

AestheticGamer shared the piece of concept art on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, although it's a little hard to see fully with the words "Dusk Golem was here" printed over it. From what we can see, though, Odin looks like an old and pretty weathered man, bearing some passing resemblance to both Tyr and Baldur. He's also missing the hat we saw him wearing in some of the murals he appeared in. We can also see pretty clearly that he's living up to his legacy of being the "one-eyed Allfather", as one can be seen missing here.

Considering Odin is likely to be one of the most powerful foes Kratos has ever gone up against, the fact that he looks like a tired old man is a pretty big surprise, and a different direction for the team to have gone in compared to powerful figures like Zeus and even Baldur, who both looked as powerful as they were. One thing that's not clear from the concept art is how tall Odin is, so it's possible that he's going to be quite a massive figure in the final game.
