It turns out last week’s leak is totally true. Sony has just announced December’s PlayStation Plus games will include Godfall: Challenger Edition, Mortal Shell, and Lego DC Super-Villains, Each game becomes available starting December 7 and will stay that way until January 3.

Godfall only just recently came to PlayStation 4 last summer with a free content update that improved the game’s loot drops and endgame activities, and also came with a free upgrade for the PS5 version if you eventually snag a new console. However, this isn’t the regular Godfall, but Godfall: Challenger Edition. It doesn’t come with the main game campaign or the Fire & Darkness expansion. Instead, you get access to three end-game modes: Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials. Lightbringer is Godfall’s roguelike mode, Dreamstones offers random encounters and random rewards, while Ascended Tower of Trials brings endless challenges.

Of course, Challenger Edition isn’t going to send new players into hard end-game content without some help. You’ll start with several weapons and Valorplates already unlocked, as well as a healthy selection of skills. This will let you dive right into build crafting right off the bat to see what Godfall is really about. You’ll also be able to play co-op with everyone on the regular version of Godfall, and you can upgrade your game to access the main story and Fire & Darkness campaigns at any time.

While Godfall is a hack-and-slash action game, Mortal Shell is perhaps the best Soulslike ever made. It's dark, creepy, and gothic, and it also just got a free content update over the summer that added its fifth playable Shell, Hadern, who wields an Axatana. That’s an ax that can turn into a katana, in case you were wondering.

And finally, Lego DC Supervillains has players take on the role of DC's most iconic villains, including The Joker and Harley Quinn, as they try to determine what made the Justice League disappear and just who are the mysterious "Justice Syndicate."

November's PS Plus games (Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning) will be available until December 6, so be sure to give those a try before they're gone!
