Some SnyderVerse fans have found a more toxic way to voice their dissatisfaction with Waner Bros. over the fate of the Snyder movies. As Godzilla vs. Kong launches, upset Justice League fans are berating another director's work by review bombing Godzilla and Kong's latest film.

Godzilla vs. Kong is the latest kaiju chaos continuing the narrative introduced in Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. With round two, the radioactive lizard meets an old enemy from past monster films, who has noticeably tripled in size. King Kong is ready to return to the city to throw some punches, and early reviews of their boxing match - at the expense of human survival - pegged it as the best modern monster movies of its kind. However, promising reviews were sadly diminished once the greater public got to view it on HBO Max, with most of the negativity spawning from Snyder Cut fans.

The popular film database IMDb was quick to acknowledge the ‘review bombing" and promptly removed said reviews. Disgruntled Snyder fans flocked to the website to give Godzilla vs. Kong one star, which inevitably lowers the film’s overall score. 44 one-star reviews were removed by IMDB, and most of the unjust reviews were easy to spot as 33 of them wrote about the studio's dismissal of Zack Snyder’s DC universe. Some one-star reviews remain, which seem to only talk about the monster feature, but these could also be Snyder fans in disguise.

wonder woman, aquaman, cyborg zack snyder's justice league

Fans of Zack Snyder’s Justice League have applauded the director’s four-hour vision of Batman, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and The Flash’s union to protect Earth. While it was inherently better than the ‘Josstice League’, Warner Bros. has confirmed that the Snyder Cut marked the end of the director’s extended universe. Snyder apparently had four sequels planned to expand his vision, which could have paved the way for adaptations of other DC characters.

While Zack Snyder’s future with DC is uncertain, his Justice League release will be receiving a black and white edition. The ‘Justice is Gray’ variant will add even more drama to his epic masterpiece, following in the footsteps of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road - and a release date is still to be announced.
