Happy birthday, Good Old Games! To help celebrate its 12th anniversary, the storefront has an anniversary sale which includes some top-tier titles like River City Girls, Darksiders Genesis, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
The GOG Anniversary sale is running now until October 9th. Here are some highlights from the sale that we were able to pick out; despite the website being focused on retro PC titles, there's a lot of modern indie titles here:

GOG is a storefront that sells digital games that have zero DRM attached to them. The owner of GOG and the developer of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 trusts their consumer base to not distribute the games illegally. In return, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been wildly successful for the studio, despite the risk. Part of CD Projekt Red's philosophy is that you get to buy it and then own it, rather than just having a license to play the game.
The Polish storefront has recently released Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, in addition to another Konami classic Silent Hill 4: The Room joining the lineup today for $9.99.
The service also offers a way to have all your PC games in one place called GOG Galaxy. Something intriguing that is in the works right now is that you may be able to purchase Epic Games titles through GOG Galaxy. Currently, some invited users in an internal beta can buy a "selection of hand-picked Epic Games Store exclusive titles" without even opening up the Epic client. For those who can't stand the interface from Epic and want to buy an exclusive like Shenmue 3, perhaps this could be an alternative very soon.
