Superman and Goku are arguably two of the strongest fictional characters of all time. Naturally, fans of both these characters are often found at loggerheads to determine who is the most powerful amongst them. Even though this debate might never really end, Goku’s English voice actor has addressed this question with an elaborate answer.
The Kryptonian, Superman, and the Saiyan, Goku, are both aliens who appear on Earth from distant planets. Both races are extremely powerful, but the sources of their power are quite different. Superman draws power from the Earth’s yellow sun whereas Goku increases his strength through rigorous and consistent training. Considering both of them exist in different fictional universes, it is near impossible to accurately compare their strengths. Now, it seems that we might just have a convincing answer.

Speaking to IGN, Goku’s English voice actor, Sean Schemmel said, “Yes is the short answer”. As conclusive as it seems, he further supported his verdict by saying “Goku is a god. If Earth is not in trouble, Goku would ask Superman to get close to the sun and get [as] charged up as possible, and then he'd fight him. But if Earth was in danger, he would fight him as long as he could but then, probably, if he wasn't having any success, he would probably just Instant Transmission Superman to a planet without a yellow sun – and then he would lose all his powers and Goku would win”.
Schemmel also mentioned how he read a scientific article which suggested that Goku’s 'Kamehameha' attack won’t affect Superman as it is all plasma. Superman's biggest known weaknesses are Kryptonite and magic, which indicates that Goku’s power beam will leave the Kryptonian unscathed.
Elsewhere, Goku has now found his way into Fortnite along with other Dragon Ball characters. Players have been raving about this addition considering they can now use the ‘Kamehameha’ attack in the game and also glide on Goku’s travel cloud, Nimbus. Interestingly, Superman has also been a part of Fortnite. All that remains now is to pit them against each other to see who emerges victorious.
