With the launch of Google Stadia set for next Tuesday (November 19), the tech giant has finally confirmed which games will be available on day one. Featuring a mix of different genres, the available titles sort of skew more towards the hardcore than the casual crowd. While only 12 games will be available immediately, Google is set to include more titles before the end of 2019, so that will likely change next month.

Here are the games that will be ready next week:

  • Assassin's Creed Odyssey
  • Destiny 2: The Collection
  • Gylt
  • Just Dance 2020
  • Kine
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Samurai Shodown
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
  • Thumper
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

As you can tell, Tomb Raider seems to be the big thing Google wants everyone to play. The entire new trilogy is available, which should be great for a binge playthrough. Everything else included was released within the last year and a half (save for Thumper). Gylt is the only Stadia exclusive in the list, though more are in development.

As for what's in store next month, Google has announced more games set to hit Stadia before the end of 2019. They will include:

  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle
  • Borderlands 3
  • Darksider Genesis
  • Dragonball Xenoverse 2
  • Farming Simulator 19
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • GRID
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Again, this selection is geared more towards the hardcore crowd than anything. It's nice to see such recent releases primed for Stadia's launch, but the actual selection leaves a lot to be desired. With every few indie games in tow and all of the big hitters having been heavily discounted, it's kind of a crapshoot as to whether anyone should grab Stadia next week. The delay of Doom Eternal probably hurt Google more than anything (it was set to be available on launch day).

If you're already pre-ordered the "Founder's Edition" package, there's really no reason to not try out at least one of these games. Even if people already own most of these titles, it is a strong selection of games to launch a service. Samurai Shodown and Red Dead Redemption 2, in particular, are big gets for Google. SNK still hasn't announced a launch for the Steam version of its fighter and Rockstar will likely wait two years before even offering a discount on its hit western. For a low monthly fee, PC players can try these out with no hassle.
