In less than a week, Google Stadia will cease to exist. Player refunds are being sent out, and fans have long been looking for other platforms they can migrate to. However, it seems that Google is hoping that players will log in to Stadia for one last time, as it releases its final game on the platform. Worm Game is, as the name would suggest, a game about a worm. It's incredibly simple, but is actually an important part of Stadia history, as it was made for the platform before it even existed. Worm Game was made for Stadia developers, allowing them to test features during the service's short lifetime. Now, it's being made available to the public, likely making it the first and last game ever made for Stadia. Related: Report: Why Google Stadia Died, And Why It Should Have Lived"Worm Game is a humble title we used to test many of Stadia’s features, starting well before our 2019 public launch, right through 2022," reads the game's description. "It won’t win Game of the Year, but the Stadia team spent a LOT of time playing it, and we thought we’d share it with you. Thanks for playing, and for everything."

Unsurprisingly for a game that was just made to play around with Stadia's features, it looks incredibly simple. But that perhaps makes it the perfect way to close off this chapter in video game history - bringing it back to basics, and looking back at what could have been. It's also almost definitely the only new game that's getting released on the platform before January 18, so you might as well give it a go.

If you're looking for another way to bid farewell to the Stadia, then you're in luck. As we covered earlier this week, Stadia fans are planning to host goodbye parties. It seems that they're still deciding what game to flock to, but we're seeing many players suggest Red Dead Online, so it might be best to log in to that in the final few hours of the Stadia's existence.
