Your time in crime-stricken Gotham City doesn't conclude at the story's end. Instead, consider this moment a turning point, opening up all avenues for your character. You're sure to have meddled with a few villains during your run, looting collectibles and stopping any crime, but there is much more to explore still.

Maybe you'll try to take down the Batcycle time trials (more challenging for its lack of speed than anything else), or you'll follow the completionist route of collecting all you can. These ideas are entirely up to you, but one thing's for sure, the Gotham Knights experience is far from over.

10 Play With A Friend

What better way to bring new life than introducing a friend into the fold? Gotham Knights offers a two-player co-op feature, one you can drop in and out of throughout the campaign. Most have said the game is best played with two along for the ride since it's made first and foremost with multiplayer in mind.

Not only will working together be necessary, but it'll also make the connection of these characters all the more significant, as you're required to plan out the best method of attack.

9 Journey Into Knight

Batman Arkham Knight

As a huge inspiration for the game and its world, there's no place better to delve into than the Arkham series, beginning with Arkham Asylum through to Knight, which includes Arkham Origins. All are worth partaking in yourself. You can purchase the Arkham trilogy in the Batman: Arkham Collection at a lower price and then buy Origins separately to have all at your disposal.

They're worth it for any comics or superhero fans out there and will be sure to sate the wants of bad guys kicking nonsense after Gotham Knights.

8 Test Out The Other Characters

Gotham Knights features a fantastic new mechanic: the ability to switch between characters on the fly. Though saying this, everyone has someone they'll usually main. Like in Overwatch or Injustice, people have their preferences, so to mix it up a bit, stick by the side of a different protagonist in your next run-through.

If you were maining Barbara, try out Tim, or if you preferred Dick, go with Jason, and vice versa. While sharing similar fighting patterns to a degree, each has their sense of style separating them from the rest.

7 Complete Harley Quinn's Case File

In typical rogue gallery antics, Gotham baddies are up to no good, and it’s down to you to stop them during the villain case files. There are three in total, each featuring a different villain - Mr. Freeze, Clay Face, and Harley Quinn. For Harley’s file, you’re set to prevent her from going through with her plan, taking you through four sub-quests of the overarching plot.

Many will explore these cases alongside the main story but if you’re still hesitant about completing them, now's the sign telling you to jump back in and see what they offer.

6 Leap Into New Game Plus

Luckily, new game plus launched alongside the game's release for those hoping for an excuse to replay. During this mode, your level cap will expand from 30 to 40, giving you more opportunities to unlock all the skills you want. Along with the mechanical skills learned from your initial playthrough, it’s the best time to try out the greater difficulties.

New game plus doesn’t offer additional quests or areas to explore, but progress on secret caches is reset, so you can search once more to find even better gear and upgrades for your team.

5 Complete Batcycle Time Trials

The Batcycle controls aren’t the best, what with it moving at a snail’s pace, though if you want a full house on achievements completing these will be necessary. They’re also extremely easy since turning is simple with these slowed-down speeds. There are seven in total, located all around the city, with full completion of the trials taking around 10 minutes.

Look out for the bonus time available to collect through each race, make quick and sharp turns, and you’ll be done in no time.

4 Collect Historia Strigidae Pages

Historia Strigidae is a set of collectibles providing information about the Court of Owls. These pages are represented by white symbols found on walls throughout Gotham. To collect them, all you need to do is interact with the 42 different markings.

Collectibles can be a chore most of the time. Does anyone actually enjoy collecting all those feathers in Assassin's Creed? Historia Strigidae doesn’t really face the same issue. Locating them is always entertaining, providing you with more to read up on about the Court, and by the end, you even get a nifty achievement.

3 Obtain Every Suit Style

Suit styles are available unlocks for each of the four protagonists, each having a suit style within a set. You begin with the New Guard style, the base outfits of the game, but you can craft different types through story progression that unlocks crafting quests or by obtaining a set of collectibles.

Some are inspired by their comic book counterparts, like the Knightwatch set featuring sleeker and smooth designs. Others draw inspiration from the game events like the Talon and Demon sets. If you’ve got a ways to go with suit-style unlocks, make them your next priority.

2 Max Out Your Skill Trees

This entry is relative to how much you care about each protagonist. So if you’re not too big on one of them, don’t worry too much about maxing out their skills. For the rest, however, completing all unlocks is the quickest way to improve your fighting abilities.

Only upon a new game plus save will you be able to achieve the necessary points to upgrade to the max; keep note you’ll need to do more than complete the story a second time. Reach level 40, check out all Knighthood questlines and clear out most other tasks to get all the AP in the game.

1 Swing Into NYC As Spidey

It’s technically a different ballpark since Gotham Knights is DC and Spider-Man Marvel, but we’re not here to discuss the differences between companies. Marvel's Spider-Man by Insomniac Games is like the Arkham series, and Gotham Knights is directly inspired by that very same series. So if you like either of them, and you’re still yet to put on the Spidey suit and swing around the city, now’s your chance.

There are many ways to play Spider-Man, especially since its release to PC and the recent remastered outing. So, what are you waiting for? Go out there and save the city.
