The now-iconic Skyrim Whiterun guard saying, "I took an arrow to the knee," makes his way into Grand Theft Auto 5, of all places. Stemming from a recurring mod that updates the opening sequence between Franklin and his pal Lamar, the latter of which is replaced with a variety of different characters, both the Elder Scrolls 5 and GTA 5 communities come together in celebration of a long-retired adventurer.

Franklin, on the other hand, doesn't seem all too interested.

YouTube modder HorseHeadHenry aptly recreates the scene with fluid precision, never missing a beat to ensure both the dialogue from the original scene with Franklin matches perfectly with that of the Whiterun guard's newly-added words. After Franklin tells the Whiterun guard off, the latter hysterically replies before sauntering away, "Let me guess, someone stole your sweet roll? You're going to cry now, huh? You're nothing, filthy pickpocket! You remind me of my cousin's cat, killed that too."

You can watch the scene below on Henry's YouTube page, as it has been removed from the Skyrim subreddit by moderators for violating rule 2: no memes. HorseHeadHenry has added a variety of other mods to his page, yet another hilarious video that recreates this very same scene elongated with the well-hated Nazeem from Whiterun, as well as putting Dragon Ball Z characters into Skyrim.

The meme itself arrives in the wake of a multitude of others modifying this same scene utilizing other pop culture references in the place of Lamar to roast Franklin in their own special way, from Darth Vader to even Donal Trump. What recreation will come next is anyone's best guess, but it will surely bring on the laughs and, hopefully, not end a late adventurer's career with an arrow to the knee.
