A leaker claimed that the GTA Remastered Trilogy would launch in 2022, then it was rated in Korea while code was found in the Rockstar Launcher update. It's far from the best-kept secret in the industry and today, another leak has sprung up in the form of achievement icons.

There's a Cluckin' Bell icon, Big Smoke, a gun, a taxi topper, a hand coming out of some water, a police hat, a basketball, and even just a bag of money.

According to Kotaku's report from last month, these three remasters are coming from Rockstar Dundee, bringing GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas to the current-gen. They will be akin to "a heavily-modded version of a classic GTA title. The UI for the games is being updated too but will retain the same classic style. Kotaku has been told these remastered titles are trying to stay true to the PS2-era GTA games."

The achievement art was found in Rockstar's game launcher after the latest update alongside icons for the remasters themselves, seemingly pointing to an imminent announcement.

Right now, nothing has been officially stated or confirmed. These remasters are still only known because of leaks and rumours, not anything Rockstar has outright said. Nonetheless, data mining into the launcher itself all but confirms their existence.

Rockstar has even been shutting down mods for the older GTA games while suing those reverse-engineering GTA 3 and Vice City. It's all hands on deck to make the remasters the de facto way to play these classics.
