The latest GTA VI rumors include the game's protagonist being an aspiring drug lord and even hints that issues such as immigration and HIV will be touched upon.

Grand Theft Auto titles have always been successful, but none compare to the success of GTA V. With more than 100 million copies sold and counting, it's hard to imagine a time when we'll never need a new GTA game. We should just keep playing the one we currently have forever, right? Well, that might be okay for a while, but eventually, we are going to want GTA VI.

Chances are Rockstar is already hard at work on the next installment in the GTA series. The almost endless stream of rumors hinting at what the game might include would certainly suggest so. We have heard everything from the game's protagonist being female, to popular locations such as Vice City and Liberty City being included.

The latest rumors come from a Redditor who claims to have been given information by a friend who works for Rockstar. These rumors are the most detailed we have heard to date, and go against other things that have been "leaked" up until this point. For starters, the game's lead character will once again be a man - an aspiring drug lord who will start the game as a lowly drug runner.

GTA VI will apparently be set across the 1970s and 1980s, and your surroundings will change as years pass. The multiple city rumor has been mentioned again. Apparently, your time will be split between Vice City and a new location possibly situated in South America. Due to the time period and themes of GTA VI, the Redditor also claims that HIV and immigration will play into the game's storyline.

As with any and all Reddit rumors, all of the above should be taken with a pinch of salt. As of right now, there is still no official word on anything regarding GTA VI. Rockstar hasn't even confirmed that the game is in development, or will even exist at all. Plus, these latest rumors claim that there isn't even a loose release date attached to the alleged project thus far.
