Unless you're just now waking up from a week-long slumber, you will have likely heard about the leaked GTA 6 videos and screenshots. You might have even seen some before Rockstar started scrubbing them from the internet. Even if you do see them, sharing them is risky business. That's why some dedicated GTA fans have been attempting to draw up the game's map using MS Paint.

Kotaku has reported on the fascinating efforts of more than 100 people eager to know what GTA 6's map looks like. Since the screenshots have basically disappeared and sharing them could lead to legal repercussions, GTA fans have been recreating them and attempting to piece them together using Paint, maths, and even Google Earth, subbing in satellite images for the screenshots they're not allowed to use.

A time-consuming process which is why Church of GTA and the rest of GTA 6's unofficial cartographers have taken their effort to Discord. There, the map makers can freely look at any screenshots and clips they can still find to make the recreation of Vice City, where GTA 6 appears to be set, a lot easier. As you can see below, what they have managed to piece together so far is pretty remarkable.

The map is massive, as expected. Odds are GTA 6's Vice City and wherever else players will be able to visit is going to be a lot bigger than Los Santos. Some of the leaks include coordinates which, along with engine measurements used in GTA 5, have allowed Church of GTA and everyone else trying to map the game to figure out roughly how big Vice City and the surrounding area might be.

This is actually a common occurrence in GTA circles. Fans did the same thing when Rockstar dropped the first trailer for GTA 5. In that instance, the task was a little easier since there was an official source that wasn't quickly taken down. The map they came up with a decade ago was actually very close to the real thing, so there's every chance the map above is comparable to how GTA 6's will look whenever it launches. A launch that has reportedly not been delayed by the leaks according to Rockstar.
