Jason Schreier has corroborated the recent rumours regarding GTA 6, saying, "everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard".

Jason's response comes after a Twitter user asked Tom Henderson if Jason was lying about his reports on the game. Jason then chimed in to defend himself and confirm he's heard similar things about the game that Tom has reported.

He said, "Idk why everyone thinks that I said GTA VI was coming in 2023. Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard". In a later Tweet he also confirmed more specific details, saying, "I dunno I haven't seen everything but it's still early in development, it has an evolving/expanding map (which I also reported last year), etc".

Earlier in the week, Tom Henderson released a video discussing all of the leaks that he had heard about GTA 6 over the past couple of years. Tom is the same leaker who has revealed details on Battlefield 2042 and this year's Call of Duty before launch, including sketching out scenes from the Battlefield trailer before it was leaked.

In the video, Tom claimed that GTA 6 will take place in a modern Vice City, but will also have an expanding map that is constantly updated, as well as having a female protagonist. He also said that GTA 6 will be releasing in 2025 to combat the crunch that Rockstar had been having some controversy with in recent years.

Although Tom is a credible leaker himself, Jason Schreier backing up the rumours and saying that it's the same as what he's heard makes these claims seem even more believable. This is good news for fans wanting a new GTA set in Vice City, but perhaps less good news for those wanting a new game in the series anytime soon.

With how much money GTA 5 is making every year, it's no surprise that Rockstar doesn't feel the need to move on to a new entry just yet. It's also releasing the Expanded and Enhanced edition of GTA 5 later this year, which should tide fans over for a little while.
