The GTA Definitive Edition launch was perhaps the most broken remaster in recent history. Things looked and worked so bad that it was considered almost unplayable. It was quite surprising that Rockstar put out a product like that, given the studio's eye for perfection and polish. At some point you may have even thought that you could make a better remaster yourself – well guess what? You can.

You don't even need any programming skills to be able to make your own remaster of GTA: San Andreas, as there's a mod that can help you with it. While CJ's usually off getting modded into other games, the SA: Mission Maker mod allows you to create your own custom missions for the game, along with giving you Mario maker level access to all of its assets (thanks, PCGamesN).

"With our modification, you can create your own missions without programming skills. User-friendly interface, great features and stability. Our mod is a new era and new life in gta sa mods," says the description of the mod.

The developer has used an intricate series of menus to let you customise and rebuild the game in any way you want, add any assets you desire, and create a mission out of it. You can select everything from the starting area, to creating a custom character, to camera angles and prompts. You can basically play God in San Andreas thanks to this mod.\

While the SA: Mission Maker mod launched in May, it received its latest update yesterday. Some of the things that the creator added include different walking styles for the player and NPCs, additional menus, the ability to teleport to interior locations, timed objectives, and camera options among others.

So, maybe now you can sit at the back while Big Smoke tries to chase down the train unsuccessfully. All you had to do was follow the damn train Smoke! So easy, right?

Rumours about what GTA 6 could be have started kicking up again. We got everything from the game having the series' first female protagonist, to it getting more maps post launch, and even that it's been in development since 2014.
