Players who enjoyed Grand Theft Auto 5's endless easter eggs way back before GTA Online took off on its own may remember one that pointed to a deep alien conspiracy in Los Santos. While it never had much of a payoff in-game, it looks like GTA Online is set to finally make well on it.

Starting on Halloween, players of GTA Online will be able to join together and fight off the most-dangerous force in the galaxy: humans. A bit of a twist, right? Across seven maps, players will fight off NOOSE teams, FIB agents and the Marines while taking on the role of a naked yellow alien running around with brain exposed for all to see. UFOs hover overhead as you fight for your life using alien weaponry to bring foes to their knees.

Players will get double rewards for anyone playing the Alien Survival Series between October 31 and November 6. And since it's Halloween, game modes that have a bit of a horror focus will also get double rewards, including Slasher, Slashers, Lost vs. Damned, Condemned, Come Out to Play and Beast vs. Slasher.

Those aren't the only things new in GTA Online's Halloween Update. Players will also get the chance to drive the 'Rampant Rocket.' This strange little contraption looks like a Harley and a drag racer got into a wreck and someone decided to build a car out of all the parts that didn't explode.

Previous Halloween unlockables have made a come back to haunt the GTA world for those that missed them the first time around. The Lurcher Hearse and Fränken Stange, along with Halloween Masks, can all be purchased at a 35% discount.

In addition to vehicles, there are two new T-shirts that players can unlock simply by logging in between October 31 and November 6: the Choose Your Side Tee and the Invade and Persuade Hero Tee.

Finally, both the Casino and Los Santos will be decked out in Halloween decorations, and there's also Peyote growing on the cactus. I guess hallucinations are also the reason for the season.
