Six years since its initial release, Grand Theft Auto V's online element might be about to get its biggest addition so far.
Grand Theft Auto has been one of gaming's most popular titles ever since its first game was released in 1997. However, GTA V has taken the franchise's dominance to new heights. Not only is it the best-selling PS4 game of all time, but GTA V is also the third best-selling game ever, having sold well over 100 million copies and counting.
Undoubtedly, the key to GTA V's success is its online mode. There is nothing else like it in the gaming world right now, and it continues to get bigger and better six years on from when the game was first released. However, there is one thing GTA fans have been clamoring for that should really have existed from day one in somewhere as wild as Los Santos. A casino.

Earlier this month, Rockstar revealed that there is indeed a casino coming to GTA V. Now, the developers have revealed not only the name of the new complex, but a whole lot more about what players can expect from it. The press release revealed that it will be called The Diamond Casino & Resort, and that some players may have already noticed exactly where it's going to be.
That's because construction on the casino has already begun. Sidenote, we think the casino having to be physically "built" is an incredibly nice touch. Rockstar states that the removal of the "opening soon" sign should not dishearten players, and that The Diamond Casino & Resort will be opening its doors to the public later this summer. The complex "will feature lavish amenities, exclusive shopping, first-class entertainment, and state-of-the-art gaming facilities."
Those who play GTA V online will know that its mini-games are a big part of what has kept it popular for six years and counting. While Rockstar is being purposefully vague on what exactly its casino and resort will have on offer, the prospect of a hub filled with things to do has us eagerly awaiting the opening of the new resort. Needless to say, we'll be driving up and down the Los Santos Freeway on a daily basis to see how construction is going.
