The still unconfirmed remastered collection of GTA games was rated in South Korea this week, and now fresh reports suggest that they could launch on consoles and PC in 2021 after all.

Aside from the enhanced and expanded version of GTA 5 that no one seems to want, Rockstar is keeping any future GTA projects it has in the works extremely under wraps. That includes GTA 6, which is now rumored to be arriving in 2025, and a remastered collection of the three GTA games which is still yet to be officially confirmed by Rockstar or Take-Two.

We did get the next best thing this week though. The collection, which will apparently include GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, received an age rating in South Korea. According to Kotaku, that has been coupled with a report that the trilogy will launch on consoles and PC as soon as this November.

Kotaku originally reported that the collection would be here before the end of 2021 when reports of its existence first started to circulate. Plans appeared to change shortly after that when it was later reported that the trilogy wouldn't be here until 2022. The project, which is being worked on by Scottish studio Rockstar Dundee, is now back on track to be here by November.

Rockstar does now have a big hole in its November schedule that was previously filled by the aforementioned re-release of GTA 5 on next-gen consoles. The game was originally slated to be here in November but was pushed to March of next year, as was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase. Perhaps if the remastered trilogy is ready to go, it will fill the slot that has been left empty by the delay of GTA 5.

Rockstar certainly needs something to satisfy what is becoming an increasingly impatient GTA fanbase, especially if GTA 6 really isn't going to be here for at least another four years. Then again, the reintroduction of three classic GTA games bundled together in one collection might serve as a reminder that Rockstar once launched three GTA games in one generation as opposed to one game across three.
