Rockstar can't seem to catch a break when it comes to GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition. The primary pain point is that despite being a 'remastered' collection of the three games, it often looks worse than the originals. Combine that with the fact PC players haven't been able to play the game for almost three days now and it isn't surprising that players have started asking Rockstar for a refund.

As spotted by Eurogamer, a number of understandably annoyed customers have been tweeting to Rockstar Support, demanding a refund. Many of these demands came as replies to a tweet by the developer which explained that the reason for the PC version being unavailable was to "remove files unintentionally included".

You'd think the trilogy, that was originally loved by so many, would have fared well just on nostalgic value. But in truth, players have been calling out the developer for its shoddy job on the remastering, and the memes about the strange graphical changes have reached Cyberpunk 2077 level. As for what Rockstar is doing about it, the developer has been replying to many of the refund demands and asking them to create a ticket with the support portal. Hopefully they will get what they've been asking for.

As for why the GTA Trilogy has remained unavailable on PC, dataminers recently discovered files related to San Andreas' controversial 'hot coffee' minigame within the source code. Considering what happened when the original scandal broke, Take-Two and Rockstar probably don't want to take any chances and could be removing every trace of it.

There have been a number of issues with the 'remastered' graphics. Whether it's the strange character models, the scores of spelling errors, rain that makes the game unplayable, or a glitch that lets you peer into CJ's soulless eyes, the complaints keep on coming.

Rockstar and Take-Two still haven't addressed these complaints, nor does it look like they will. It's highly unlikely that the game will be taken off storefronts like the aforementioned CD Projekt Red Action-RPG. But one thing that Take-Two is doing, is continuing to send DMCA takedowns to the GTA modding community.
