Players going through the GTA Trilogy are discovering that it's full of strange spelling errors, missing words, and misplaced numbers.

When the GTA Trilogy was first shown off, fans were impressed by the improved environments and the work that had been put into updating the worlds of San Andreas, Vice City, and Liberty City. Upon closer inspection, players have discovered that those worlds are riddled with spelling errors.

GTA fans have been sharing the spelling errors across social media since the GTA Trilogy launched. One great example of these spelling mistakes was shared on the GTA subreddit. It shows a storefront in GTA Vice City, that once read, "Shaft Hot Dogs - The Taste Of A Real Man's Meat", which is a joke I hopefully don't have to explain to you. The updated version instead reads, "The Taste Of A Real Man's Heat".

Although the instant thought might be that the joke was censored, this is GTA we're talking about and Rockstar would have no reason to change such a harmless background gag. There are several other examples of these spelling mistakes, such as the storefront for Screamin' Colins Guitars, which changes the joke of "Guitar Wank Booths Available" to "Guitar Henk Booths Avaiable". It also changes "Air Guitars" to "AR Guitars", if you want an extra laugh.

Beyond that, players have also spotted that the "Welcome to Vice City" sign has a major spelling error, now reading as "Welcom to Vice City" instead. Although the spellchecker seems to have a particular vendetta against Vice City, errors have also been spotted in San Andreas, such as a basketball jersey having the number nine pasted over a faintly visible seven.

Similarly to the character model issues, players have suggested that these errors are due to the remastering being done through AI texture upscaling and that Grove Street Games didn't go back and check to see if all of the textures were correctly translated. That theory would also explain the weird font used across the board.
